How is this guy ranking??

I'm trying to figure out what a competitor is doing to rank. Hes got a crap looking non mobile page with thin content in a very competitive niche. Hes out ranking some huge UK companies. So he obviously must have some huge links pointing to the page but I can find hardly any!? So far I've tried...

1. Ahrefs
2. Magestic
3. Moz
4. Sem rush
5. Google link parameters
6. Google text domain search
7. Bing back link explorer

What else can I try!?

P.s I can pm domain, I know its considered bad etiquette to share it here

Ahref and semrush are the better way to figure out,then you have to try some different method to rank yourself better.

Yeah I've found about 6 ish links to the root but I'd of thought he'd need way more for what he's ranking, especially with thin content even ranking for mobile and its the shitest design ever. I will carry on digging

Design has nothing to do with ranking. Strong Backlinking with non overoptimized website is all you need to rank for anything

OP, it is clear, that the owner is hiding his backlinks. How is this done? You can in your robots.txt file block all the agents of this site stat delivering services like ahrefs, semrush... Basically you allow to crawl your page only the google bot and that's it. But you can still pm me with his url and will check for you if is there anything that can be done to discover the links.

You tried all, but its still uncover, maybe there is nothing. I think he is Blessed by Google.
