Hello guys..
While watching YouTube videos as usual I came across this awesome channel, and to my greatest surprise, the channel uploads movie scenes and it's monetized and what baffled me the most is that the videos are hitting millions of views within 2 to 3days, which am yet to understand how come, what secret and strategy they were able to use without getting copyright strike from big movie production companies like Netflix and Werner Bros e.t.c.. Because I never know someone can monetize movie scenes not until today that I came across this channel which is getting massive views..

Here is the channel

So I will like to ask some questions
1. How were they able to monetize scenes from movies?
2. How are they able to avoid copyright strike?
3. Can someone do the same without a strike?
4. Is there any risk doing this kind of videos?

Please, someone experience in YouTube should please help me out..
Thanks

There are plenty of movie review channels on YT and all of them are monetized.
Nothing new if you put the work it takes to make the review.

From what I know (I read the TOS of YouTube) you can upload movie scenes but they must not exceed 5 sec each. You can upload multiple scenes in a row from different movies as long as they are under 5 seconds. Also, you must credit the movie in the description and/or the video itself.

Maybe the owner of the channel doesn't receive the funds. There are many channels that display ads and are so-called monetized, but they get copy strikes and all the revenue generated by the video goes to the rightful owner.

he is using tts. suprised he still makes money.

Monetization of a channel does not mean that owner of channel get money. May be Youtube get all of the money.

Interesting thing is, he uploaded videos 1 from month ago, i dont know how he get views for such a short period.

in actual They Blur the official Banner and Tag from the Movie and pur something in there then so that Become thier content and They play with YT

I have tried these things
Never worked for me.
There is something more than these little things

I am about to get into this niche myself, I've already done is successful with TV shows on one of my channels but I want to start a separate channel just for movies. One of the posters is right keep the clips around 5 seconds long sometimes they can run for 8 seconds depending on the copyright holder of those films.

The key is doing commentary over them with a human voice, not software or TTS. You can just simply commentate over the clips, if it's one movie just use still images for the rest of the video.

I'm planning on doing this mainly with scenes from movies and talking about those scenes.

Also, this channel is not monetized, I used the {"key":"is_monetization_enabled","value":"true"} code to see if the channel was monetized and it was not.

I figured it wasn't because the clips run past 5-8 seconds long so they were likely flagged for copyright claims and he's not able to monetize a channel that way. You can't have the footage claimed. Just do like 5 seconds to be safe and use still images and you can easily monetize these types of channels.

From what I have read, YouTube doesn't have a specific policy against using a text to speech software to create voice-overs for your videos.

If you look at the number of views and comments, viewers really like the video from the OP. The video creator has used an AI voice from AWS Polly (called Matthew by AWS).

It's possible to make money with quality AI voices, and they are not expensive to use.

Going to have to call a spade a spade and say your method does not work at all. I already tried this when you had a similar thread.

Where do you use this code if possible to know?

What method are you talking about? If you're referring to this method then you didn't do it right.

Some people do use really expensive software that's harder to detect but I don't see the point when you can just do it yourself and buy a cheap microphone instead. The only way you would need it is your English is really bad. If you can speak English well just do the voiceover yourself. I found it to be easier and more relaxing this way. I can get more of my opinion out and make it more fun fo rme.

Where do you use this code if possible to know?
This is a good question so use Chrome and go the channel's page then click right-button on your mouse and go to view page source. Then when you're on view page source hit CTRL+F to bring up the search box and type in the code {"key":"is_monetization_enabled","value":"true"} and what you need to look for is that code finding a match in that text and it saying true. If it matches 1/1 then that channel is monetized, if it's not you will not find a match in the text saying 0/0 and that'll let you know the channel is not monetized.

Use a compilation of very short clips with an original voiceover on it. You will be able to monetize it.

Well, I've been thinking about that as well some of the shows that I cover might be put on this channel where I run compilations of videos with certain popular TV characters. I might be doing it with the movies as well. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it safely with non-copyright music where I don't have to put commentary over it. I'm putting those compilations on this channel because it's not my main channel so if I make a mistake and get demonetized it won't hurt.

Mostly it will be recaps discussing the scenes with commentary but some videos will be used as compilations.

Thank you for your detailed response
You're welcome as I'm glad that I was able to explain it clearly so that you weren't confused initially.

There are many review channels on YouTube for movies and tv shows. If you add something to it and transform it while using short clips that's considered fair use.
