P.S from what I know is that they use a cloacking script that hides the link from human visitors, but shows it for google bots

Rankings last a couple days to a week at best but it's rank and bank site after site e.g. half the sites on home page registered 5 days ago dadloans.co.uk dogpayday.co.uk etc. Google thinks the site has gone viral so it gives it a first page ranking while the guy redirects it to a affiliate program and hopefully banks enough to cover linkbuilding costs. Rinse and repeat!

I would go with the viral idea, that is probably the only logical explanation why google would rank it in that way.
