It could be that the whole video is just a record set up as live...so they know what's coming next... and also what makes you think that the numbers shown are real?
Some of the donations could've faked, so when there's no real donations for a while, they just add fake donors to keep the ball rolling...

adding to my previous comment, one of the shops advertised there claims they made $22152 in sales today, sure they didn't get it all from donating $634 to the hole digging but I guess they got some nice ROI

1 dollar for 0.5 seconds makes it $1800 per hour. That's a nice rate. They should have dug a hole somewhere in Kazakhstan or Russia. I just googled it would cost around $25/hour to rent an excavator with a driver there. Not the cheapest one, by the way 
$82k collected so far would result in 3280 hours or 136 days of non-stop digging. THAT would be a show. Not a stupid 2-day thing.

I am awful at maths when it's not related to counting money lol So they could rent an excavator, a truck, a tractor for a half year and even have some margin left if only they dug a hole in Kazakhstan
