how is the USA?

Yeah I had a friend who loved living in Singapore It's meant to be fantastic. Now he lives over here, and I'm ot sure where he perfered.

I've been trying to move for over a year now. My fiance just doesn't want to. She wants the kids to go to this small town school where (it seems) really safe, and I don't blame her on that one. If I did move, I fear I would lose my focus so that's another thought that sticks out. I got kind of a popular status around here to so I think I would miss the flattery :)
 
Kingdom, the fear of terrorist attacks is unfounded and terrorist attacks occur all over the world so don't dump the USA on that!

The USA is no more at war with itself than any other country on the planet and I suspect that in the next few years you will not want to be in a place which is the direct sphere of influence of Communist China.

The Kiwis like to tell you about their tropical paradise but they forget to tell you about the genocide they perpetrated against the indigenous peoples during colonisation, the ridiculous cost of living and the ridiculous tax rate:

$0 - $38,000: 19.5%
$38,001 - $60,000: 33%
$60,001 upwards: 39%

Nothing wrong with Kansas or the USA and there is lots of opportunity so if you decide to come here legally, you just let me know and I'll do everything that I can to hook you up!

Maybe we can trade. I hate the city. With being in the line of work we are, internet reaches far enough into the city for sales. City has to many distractions. A home body myself so city is not where I want to be. Grew up in a small town and loved it.

You might get more breaks from this government than it's own people. Live by a college. Not many people from the states from the looks of it. ...but Singapore sounds good too.

You would have to be insane. I predict (as do many others) economic collapse and marital law. They are building the prison camps now.

Outside of the Nordic countries there are only two places worth thinking about.
Australia and New Zealand. And since the New Zealanders are moving to Australia in large numbers, I guess that answers that question. :)

In this year's United Nations list of best countries to live in Australia came third behind Iceland and Norway. The USA came in at number 23 or something.

I did not write that there is anything "wrong" with New Zealand; I merely stated arguably provable FACTS about New Zealand and in point of fact, yes, I have been there; twice.

I merely suggested the USA as a very viable alternative to isolating one's self in the Southern Pacific by emigrating to NZ.
 
USA is the place common over!

Many Midwest and southern states are affordable with ok cost of living other than state taxes.

If you want the ocean forget Kansas :-) but they have their share of nice lakes for water sports however.

Texas still has decent housing prices and cost of living overall.

So there is all this stuff about the USA in articles, magazines, etc etc. So WHY do people want to come here from all over there world? Simple. Opportunity. In what other country can a person come here with crap and become something? Tough question isn't it.

We have so many successful people here who came with nothing, or started with nothing, were the children of immigrants, etc. Not saying other places aren't nice (i've traveled to a lot of places in the world...some awesome places out there!), though consider this: you seem to have a pretty solid/steady business structure built. Why not come to the place where the business empire moguls are and get a piece of capitalism.

I also recommend the warmer places (im in Cali, and our weather is always great, beaches are awesome, great nightlife, close to Vegas, and have so many women it's outrageous), or stay near one of the coasts if at all possible.

Just some thoughts. Good luck wherever you decide.
