How is panic over coronavirus affecting you?

You cannot believe how ecstatic I was for this year. Sales started to increase, all was good, but then...

I have all these summer niche Amazon Affiliate sites (3 live, 1 under construction, planned to pump out a lot of them in rapid fire), and as it goes, people starting to buy things as summer gets closer and closer (sales increase starting late February and decrease again come late August - summer niches).

AND THEN you get a few cases of Covid-19 in US and UK specifically, fucking instantly people stop buying things from Amazon. I mean, INSTANTLY! People spending all their money now on toilet paper! (plus water, canned food, masks, and the like)

I tried to capitalize on a coronavirus-friendly niche, but this site is far too new to show the results within a month or 2 by which time the panic buying frenzy will probably be over already...

(found the perfect keyword with 0 competition, albeit one other site tried to capitalize on this virus, too, so now there's 1 super shallow competitor that I can easily outrank once Google decides to actually take my new site more seriously...)



So, how has Wuhan virus affected your IM projects?

I feel for the dropshippers, me personally, i am not experiencing anything thing negative atm.
 
Not much, i'm not generating a dime, unemployed and away from college until i leave brazil which i hope to be asap...
 
Nothing really but the next time i go out for toilet roll, im completely out of luck so i read.
 
I actually just came back from a trip.. Was crazy seeing how everyone is but safety first I guess!
 
I'm in a tech niche and traffic has been dropping at a steady pace since the beginning of March. Rankings are intact as far as I can tell. It also looks like prices are increasing on the stuff I'm peddling (affiliate, mostly Amazon US), maybe supply chain issues on top of everything else?

Anyway, I hope this goes away soon and also that I was in the toilet paper niche, seeing as people seems to think that this is a diarrhea pandemic. I can think of some really thought-provoking content on the pros and cons of wiping your ass with 2-ply vs. 3-ply. Preferably with 4K HDR video.
 
I feel you. I am loosing olso big time. Normal I get like 900 sales a mond. I do affiliate for Aliexpress. But this mond I have 1 f@cking sale. Everybody think they getting this virus if they order something from China. I really hope this madness go awai fast. I was working 1 year really hard to get to this point. That I was making really good money. Its feels like i am holding snow in my hands on a hot day. Please let everything become normal fast.
 
My gambling niche traffic drop by 40-50%. I feel like people stop playing for a while because this corona issues getting scary day by day.
 
It's not.
People are a bit more annoying than usual, but it doesn't affect me in the slightest.
 
My country is not affected by the virus yet,or atleast so they say.
 
I've never thought this would affect me, but my local store was out of oats.
I like my oatmeal with a banana and honey. What am I gonna eat when I wake up?
 
I'm in the adult industry.

Right now we are starting to see traffic slowly declining for clients in the escorting industry. (reasonably so)

However, clients with membership sites, clients with adult toys are seeing steadily increases in traffic and sales...i'd assume people are spending more time indoors and trying to distance themselves - so they have a bit more fun.

Also dealing with cannabis clients in Canada and sales and traffic are up as well...

Now - only if I was in the manufacturing of N95 Masks, Oxygen respirators, and cleaning supplies, business would be BOOMING haha.
 
People are actually making millions by selling masks. Some gain some lose.
 
Everyone will buy disinfectant, masks and other protective equipment. I can't go out as before
 
Not affected me at all yet; however, it's not so much the virus that worries me (I'm sure some plucky university or someone will come up with a treatment/vacine) but it's the downturn in the world economy. We've been due a good recession for a few years now - the virus could be the catalyst that kicks it all off.
