Hello,

I would like to know how is online reputation management done.
Can someone tell me?

Reputation management is typically suppression (pushing down negative results) and removals (deleting/DMCA negative listings).

Suppression is the most common approach and involves creating and promoting positive assets that can rank above the negative.

To add on: suppression is essentially SEO, but for a brand name or person's name. It's much easier to do than traditional SEO.

I'd like to interject that suppression/ORM is not SEO in reverse.

SEO is pushing up one site for many keywords.
ORM is pushing up many sites for one keyword.

ORM is also about publishing content that you can publish on sites that will rank. There is a lot more to ORM that just building links.

Right. Also, it's about public relations. A good ORM campaign will also provide outreach to authority sites that are related to the client to either spin negative news and/or create positive content that will highlight the better things the client has done...which is hard in some cases.

With SEO, we work on a single link, or website to rank on the first page of Google.

With ORM, We work on the entire first page of Google.
