How is everyone preparing for monkeypox?

It's still 90% in the lab not perfect yet and it not gonna be out till October so plenty of time to prepare

I bought stock in vaccine companies for Monkeypox. WHO declined to label it a PHEIC recently, which made for a nice entry as things dipped. 'pox was found in sewer water now, and if you're heterosexual it's a bit hard to get a test. It only looks like a gay disease if you test gays, HIV/AIDS anyone?
All of which points to higher-than-known community spread (in America)... now the CDC response is getting more elevated too; WHO designation will come I trust:
Reported US cases doubled last week if I'm remembering right. Folks modeling things are predicting 100k worldwide cases come August:
PS: Real-world data of Paxlovid's effectiveness at preventing hospitalization are now ~45%. And it's only for high-risk folks...
I'm now looking to profit off both diseases..... whatever, where are my bananas?!

Did you guys notice anything? They throw out "new variants" or better to say new names all the time, then come up with monkeypox, etc. At this point, they are just trying to generate attention, but they keep failing, then they come up with something new, failing again.
Mainstream media is the biggest fucking problem of the 21st century. They are scaring the shit out of people just to push their clicks, views and ad revenue...because this is what it is all about: ad revenue and attention. Its basically like TikTok: The more disturbing/weird/funny/creepy/violent the video is, the more engagement and view it gets. Mainstream media just became like this: Fearmongering all the time, no matter what it is: war, virus, inflation, violence, climate change, etc. and they take no responsibility at all
