So, Indian Government came up with GST.

So say if your annual income is 10 lakh INR and all of it is coming from foreign companies in US $ then, how you are dealing with it.

Have you got your GST number?

The tax rate is pretty much ridiculous.

It makes business doing from India impossible.

What do you guys think about it?

Are you planning to open a company in US?

Need suggestion and advice.

If you are dealing with a client/customer outside of India, then GST does not apply for you. The minimum amount is 20lakhs/pa by the way, not 10..

You still need to file ITR and so on. So, consult a CA for this. One such firm I can recommend is IndiaFillings.

As for opening a company in US, I have heard that US is pretty costly for running business. So.. no.. I am happy being in India.

if you are selling any IT Services with 1000 Rs. also, GST - Applies to you

1. All IT Service Exports from India comes under GST
2. You need to submit LOI or Bond to get benefit of " 0 % " Duty

If you fail to do so - then tax man can demand GST 18% from you at later date also

3. Compotion scheme does not apply for service provider , who work outside their state
4. You need to get FIRC Certificate to say this is export

5. You need to maintain sales invoice & register
6. If you selling in the state than only 20 Lacks execumption rule applies.

Consult your CA - for more information , I am not an authority on the same.

1. Search for - " GST for Blogger & Freelancers with Harsh Agrawal & Karan Batra " on YouTube this will help

2. Also search for FIRCH + Paypal

I have consulted from my CA here's what he said:

1st of all Government has not released the official documentation on GST using which companies can develop a software to file GST. (I don't know why he told me this).

1. You are an Indian and you are providing service to another an Indian who lives outside your state, you pay GST.

2. You are Indian lets say from Bihar and provide service to another person living in Bihar, you don't pay GTS unless your earning is more than 20lakh.

3. You are an Indian and provide service outside the country, you don't need to pay GST but you need to register for GST.

Refrencing your Point 3 - You are correct

But to claim 0% rate there is a procedure that need to be followed that requires GST , check the video search

CA themeselves need to explore this
