How increase traffic to my Blog

Hi all,

I'm a new member to BHW and only just realised the potential money to be made out there with a little imgination. Today i took the first step and created myself a free blog (at bloggers.com). This may sound stupid, but could someone tell me how i can the traffic to my blog? i know that my blog has only been live for a few hours but i like to plan ahead. Any advice?

Do a forum search for Howie Schwartz. He is a master at getting traffic for free. A good place to start is to go to the thread below and check out his videos.

too true that there is a lot in the forums...in the meanwhile...
try these ideas:

*set up a blog at wordpress.com (you will need the API key for Akismet when you have your own hosted blogs later

*set up at least one lens at squidoo.com that is your main 'you' lens

*go to clickbank and PayDotCom and find some products that would like to promote.

*go to ever.com and set up a few good keyword (related to the programs you will be promoting) sub-domains redirects for squidoo. this IS part squidoo so the new lenses are added directly to your account right away.
(it all makes better sense when you go there)

*set up a gravatar at -> gravatar.com - so that you will have a nice picture when you post on blogs (found with the tool up next)

*got to this thread-> and get a nice program for backlink hunting. use this to leave comments on blogs and point 1/2 of then to the WP blog and 1/2 to the blogger blog

* link each blog to the other blog and the lenses. the lenses should have reviews of products for which you are an affiliate. that added into squiddo's revenue setup will get you at least starting to make money

from there you can build up and up, and add more techniques, and methods, sites, etc.
