How In Demand Is Article Writing?

Article writing is not easy. I would challenge you to be able to find a client willing to pay anymore than $4 per 500 word article and if you do you are extremely lucky. For over $4 most people would expect the same quality that a college professor would put out. Just go to DP and look at the prices that people are offering, it is ridiculous, but because people do go for it (countries where the cost of living is cheap) they will not offer any more.
Some people will be able to find higher offers but these people know what they are doing. Basically, if someone can pay another person $1.50 for an article and only have to rephrase a few things they will. In the case of successful people though they will certainly pay for quality.

[written after a few beers]. I charge a minimum of $10 per 500 words and have done for all of this year. I started out at $6, but after Paypal charges, it's just not worth it.
Anyone can do it, you just have to spend a few hours writing some A+ samples, and anything can happen. I am now a project manager/editor and writer for a firm, but also run my own business on the side to bump up my income. I used to just run my company but I prefer not to chase clients for money, hence the change.
To the OP, I find getting a topic you're interested in, doing some KW research, evaluating websites in the top 10 of G, then approaching the ones in no5-15, and explain article marketing to them. They'll soon express an interest, especially if you've said this email has been sent to x, y and z clients (in the top 10).

Article writing is definitely a volume business - which naturally presents the problem of putting out good quality. You'll have a neverending stream of business if you can figure that combo out.

Your problem is that you mention DP here. You do not have to compete with DP type crappy writers. There are other places where average pay per article is way higher than dp. And you do not compete by price only. Do not go bellow average price offering your services.

Yup, things i demand can get way expensive, In spanish I had a quote from pro company for 12 US$ for 300-400 words LOL, LMAO, and more.
People are starving and write sht*tty stuff I tried all means. Only the means for destruction were available for cheap.
Keep trying at least English has more good writers than Spanish. Keep looking I'm sure you will find the right people but you will have to edit so Cheap= extra work.

I am not writer so I do not remember urls, but I have somewhere the list bookmarked in my files. Will try to find it. Of course in the meantime I am sure any writer on this forum could name you places that are better than DP for writers.
If you can make the 5-star account rating at TextBroker, you get a whopping $25.00USD for one 500-word article. There's a big price gap between 4s and 5s; for a 4-star article of the same length, you only get $7.00.
Note that to make the high pay, you have to qualify, but there also has to be 5-star orders available to write. Often, there aren't - but there are usually offers for 4-star ones, and even those pay more than the OP seems to want to shell out!
Of course, there is a catch: quality is what determines your pay grade there.
You also have to be at a place where clients aren't looking at an ad for "500 words for $2!!!" in the next thread.

Just saying that it's possible to get really good money for writing articles, and giving an example of where as a form of proof. You said you were looking for writers, so I didn't expect that you'd want to be one yourself.
Still, somewhere around here is a list of places that pay for articles, and there's probably a few among them that don't have the requirement of being US-based and actually pay enough to bother opening up a blank Word sheet for...

ya.. article marketing is all what writer u can secure.. when u find a good one.. take care of them... hire them full time... take care of their needs they might have in their life... kinda of force them to make this their full time job...give them bonuses when they perform well... article marketing is still the best for organic ranking in google.. i have never seen the google dance when article marketing.. those back links are sooooooooooo precious when ppl scrap ur article and give u link juice.. and use ur content on their blog or webpage... w/ur anchor text w/ur keyword in place that links directly to ur site... only thing sucks is when they freaking spin ur content.. now i see more and more of that.. and its a damper on content.. i know it doesnt make ur content as strong as it was b4.. oh well..
Although not always, I've seen a $5 article writing quality is better than a $20 one. Go figure. There are American writers charge between $5 - $10 per 500-word articles. Tons of writers available looking for work. Quality and service vary greatly. Don't fall for those useless "testimonials". You have to test out by yourself.

If I remember correctly, there were quite a few including some of the already mentioned ones. Search by that name, as I'm sure you know, and you should be able to find it. You can find people on odesk that chage $4/hour and can write 3-4 decent articles per hour. Sure you might need to fix some errors but you get what you pay for.
