How Important Speed Optimization Nowadays?

Hi, if you don't mind me asking:
Cloudflare CDN itself can cache, so why bother using any cache plugin like WP Rocket? Thanks.
Does using both improve speed? Maybe CDN alone can do the same.

WP Rocket uses cloudflare (WPR + CF).
Speed optimization is important in UX terms and will always be.

Pretty easy to get good scores and siteload speeds if you keep it simple. Stick to themes that have minimal bloat (I use Generatepress and Ocean). Don't add too many plugins, make a site that has a logical structure and is visually simple - - avoid fancy javascript and scripts that are purely visual in nature. Imagine that you're back in 2004, and you only have enough bandwidth to make a barebones HTML page. Focus on navigational logic, site structure and expandability.
