How Important is WHOis Privacy For PBN?

Hi guys,

I am mainly looking at .co.uk domains as I have a decent list of them.

The whois opt out only covers the address but the name is still visible.

Some of these domains are pretty good so would it be bad to have say 10 in my name pointing to my own site? Not ideal I know but can't find a way around it or is it too risky?

In short,really bad...that is a footprint that google can spot with ease..
 
Yes Who is will be help to avoid the footprint by hiding the owner info..Some providers will give you the free privacy, try that
 
Ya you can only hide the address though not the name on .co.uk domains which is a pain..pity as I have some good domains here.
 
I'd go for very, if you can get any friends to sign up and pay I would!
 
use whois on some domains and use fake information on others.

If you use whois on all domains thats a footprint
 
It is important to hide whois or use fake whois . What is more important imo if you link to the same 10 websites from 100 diffrent websites it is a much bigger footprint. If i were you i would worry about that more than anything.
 
Just change the contact person name if that will still show on the .co.uk domains to randomly generated names. As mentioned above mix in some other TLDs and don't put privacy on every single one in your PBN and you should be good to go.
 
I use a mix of like 10% privacy and the rest different information that matches the domain you are using. You just have to find good registrars that will allow you to change the who.is info on the fly...
 
I think that if you're building a small PBN with not so popular niche that you should be fine, but you should have privacy on some domains.
 
Cheers folks. Yeah I have different TLD's and some are private and some you don't have that option but the domains are really good quality on these and I found a work around anyway I think!
 
Dude just use fake details when you register, it will save you whois privacy costs.
Easy and Simple.
 
As everyone has said blocking them all would be a serious footprint and make no sense at all! Use fake names, addresses, emails etc maybe even block just a hand full as normally some people do block them - add to the randomness.
 
faked owner details work until you're asked for verification
after you can use photoshop for docs
but that's another story
I know that godaddy asked for company docs for a .co.uk domain of mine.
 
You can just use random information but make sure the contact email forwards to you.

But if you're building a PBN, make sure that you're not just using .co.uk domains ;)
