so i created a new tiktok account about a month ago but i have not used it at all. i have not watched any videos on it nor liked, commented, shared, etc anything

and im not sure if i should warm it up for a few days or post and warm it up at the same time.

Honestly, I think there’s no single “right” way to do it. Some people warm up the account for a few days so the algorithm gets a sense of what they’re into, and others just start posting and let TikTok learn from their content over time. What matters most is staying consistent and engaging with the kind of content you want your audience to connect with.

Warming up new TikTok accounts is pretty important. Start by engaging naturally watch videos, like, comment, follow a few accounts—for a few days before posting. This signals activity to TikTok and can help your first posts get better reach. Posting while slowly warming up also works if you keep interactions .

A quick warm up with some real scrolling and a few casual interactions usually makes a new TikTok account feel way more “normal” to the algo before you start dropping content

Just start posting and mix in a bit of normal browsing between uploads so the profile doesnt look empty. A light, natural pattern works better than a separate warm up phase.

I’d add that even small interactions like watching a few videos or scrolling a bit between posts can make the account look more active and organic.

Warming up a new TikTok account matters. Spend a few days watching, liking, commenting, and following before you post. It helps TikTok trust the account and boosts your initial reach. Posting during the warm-up is fine if you stay active.
