I manage an IG account from India but my buyers are in Europe. I use my SIM card data for managing the account (no proxy). Can this be skewing my reach to India instead of Europe?

I think it's very important. I have been warming up some accounts whilst located in Vietnam and even though I only interact/follow USA accounts in my niche, I still get quite a lot of Vietnamese (and Indian) content in my feed. Presumably the same would go for the reach of my posts.

There is a guide I have been following to try and train my insta algorithm

Whilst engaging with accounts in your target country(s) definitely seems to help it also doesn't hurt at all to have an account created and in use from an IP address in that same country / area. Instagram's algo these days is advanced to the point where all of these factors are at minimum considered when delivering content. It's also worth mentioning that historical use tied to an account also shouldn't be overlooked.

Its important for reach and targeted audiences. So you can use the location to detect the followers.

So far with my testing instagram has always mainly pushed to the audience my IP comes from.
