How important is having residential IP addresses?

Hey folks,

I'm in the process of designing out a new proxy/vpn/remote desktop solution that allows users to instantly change their IPs on a residential high speed network (40 mbps down, 30 mbps up).

We're trying to see if it's worth it to put it on the network we're currently on (the IPs show up as Verizon Wireless in a residential environment).

What would make this service worthwhile to you? From what I gathered lurking around on this site, it should be good for clickfarms, account creation, and general browsing that can be made anonymous without geolocation that is locked.

What else am I missing? How can I make this better?

Offer it for Free or ad supported, at least for a trial period. Good luck with your project.

Is it scalable as a proxy service? Meaning, how many unique and simultaneous IPs are you able to obtain?

There's huge demand for proxy providers with static/dedicated IPs that don't resolve to data centers. You can charge a significant premium selling it to affiliates who need it for advertising accounts. These are the affiliates spending tens of thousands of dollars daily, so don't mind paying a bit more for exclusive IPs that don't get flagged from the onset.

This sounds like a trojan/bot network...

If you can create real residential IPs that are not traceable as fake, there's lots of opportunity for you.

Really what are you On about please , the whole idea is to use a virgin ip from a residential address each time you create a account and other....

If the ip is re used agin not worth nothink as it needs to be a virgin....

Please advice people only if you are 100% correct as others might beleve you....

Give you quick example.

If you create a instagram account with one residential ip , that ip is know no good to make another Instagram account because the second account would get ban .

So a re usable resedentual ip ,not worth much same as a public ip.

Also residential ip can be used to run bot's With mutitipule accounts without the bot needing single ips for every account.

I dont no how anybody getting these resedentual ip as a service there very exspensive and you buy them directly from ip authority.

There very hard to even get from ip authorities even with money ...

If the user can provide such service be a millionare .....

Lets say you create an instagram account from a residential IP - from Runnels County, Texas.. If you are intelligent enough, you can create not just one but couple of more instagram accounts from this IP.(Lets keep that aside).This IP is no longer virgin and is trashed by the system. Now, if you want to update/post, you will be logging in from another IP. If you login from another residential IP, say from Cherryville, North Carolina, dont you think Instagram will flag it? The first time you may pass but as you keep on hopping from one IP to another -the IP geo location keeps on changing, you will definitely get flagged at some point of time and you will get phone verification. Now if only you could get the same residential IP - Runnels County, Texas and you can keep on posting updates any number of times without any flags.

Its not just about the 'virginity' of the residential IP, but also ability to tie a specific residential IP with a specific account, so that you can use the same IP for posting updates using that account.
