How important is a guest post niche

Been offered to guest post in a general niche, the domain has higher DA than the site I'm working on, but not niche specific.

Could this be detrimental to the site or not.

1 Guest post will not skyrocket your site, there are hundreds of factors, of course, a niche related one is more powerful than a magazine-style one, but in the end, the number of them counts more, from where, to which site, type of content and so on.

Example: Forbes vs Medium; Medium is more powerful, Forbes is just for branding, still Forbes costs up to 2k a post, while Medium is free with good content. So, link building it's more than just building a guest post.

Niche is better but general won’t hurt just don’t pay a fortune for it

niche related guest post will be better for your website ranking. it worked for me.

General guest post is not more hurt and you will go for niche related.

As with any type of linkbuilding, the closer to your niche the better - but a generic theme will do no danger since your guest post will push relevancy.
Obviously common sense must prevail though, if you're guest posting for dog toy products on a casino website then that's bad regardless of any third party metrics.

Guest post about something people really love and write a great headline. Write a call to action on the back end to attract leads and build a list. guest post on high trafficked sites. diversify your guest posting strategy and promote your content on major social media sites.

It can be more effective if you focus on the niche related.

Yeah. Absolutely you are going to follow your audience who need what you write. If you have a blog about getting rid of acne, you are going to search for related blogs and websites. And serve these people. Show them the "How".

Guest post is like boomer for a site but those links should be related to your website.

People tend to just repeat things they hear others say.

Niche related posts do not pass more link juice than non-niche.

Does anyone think google classifies an entire site into 1 single "niche"? And anything outside of that niche doesn't get link juice.

Sites contain pages, pages contain text. Text relates to topics. Topics relate to each other. It's very complex. There is no "niche". This is simplistic thinking and not how engineering works. Not even close.

You can gain more relevancy from links from pages that have topical relevance similar to yours. That's it. Juice is passed from any contextual link google doesn't consider user created.

The only reason we use pbn niche sites is because a general purpose pbn looks like a big spam machine, not because it helps ranking. Relevant links is one of the biggest myths about SEO in the past 5 years. I don't know a single SEO who makes over $20k/mo that talks about relevant links. It's almost like a laughing point for the experienced guys.
