How important do you think communication in graphic design is?

It's huge. You're job is the combine someone's thoughts and ideas into a design. You have to communicate if you see issues or think other things that will work. Theres always a back and fourth with design.

Very important, sometimes clients or designers dont explain well and they never can create something they like

Communication is key in a lot of things, graphic design included.

You have to make sure what you design is in line with what your client wants. What a client says isn't always what they want.

in Simple words

Frequent Communication = Quick Finishing Time

Rare Communication = Never Ending Project :)

It's crucial, and that does not only apply to graphic design, but pretty mich any other industry out there.

The reason why for many jobs I have a non refundable deposit is because of clients saying "That's not what I meant" 3 revisions and we are done. Saved me so many head aches.

Communication in graphic design, just like everything else, is vitally important. A picture is worth a thousand words, and you must be able to communicate with your clients to come up with just the right visuals to make a strong impact and connection with their viewers

due to my job, I think good communication is near 70-80% of success. I also hire designers from time to time and I know that I prefer to hire more polite, responsible and punctual people even if they have worse quality and skills

As a graphic designer & illustrator, I tell you that there's also the side where less communcation results in faster project and better results. That only happens for the customers that really don't know what they want and how to explain you what they think they want. If you are able to provide a good design you save a lot of time that was going to be used designing their ideas.
