How important do you think it is to get backlinks from websites hosted in the targeted country? Do you consider this when you get backlinks for your website?

For e.g. I want to rank well in google.es. Should I get more websites that have Spanish IP link to me or it's not really an important factor and I can forget about it?

I'm thinking about this because it might look unnatural for a local website such as blabla.es to get let's say 90% of backlinks from US IP's (and with english content).

Thank you in advance!

create a big diversity. You can rank on google.es just with links from .com websites from use....but it's always best to create a bigger diversity.

if you can get back links from .es, don't hesitate.

Thank you for your answer, but I think you didn't understood me entirely.

It's a big difference between a .com website with spanish content and spanish IP and a .com website with US or UK IP and english content - am I right?
