How important are proxies?

I don't know how to use them and how important are they.
I have a decent amount of clients and I'm promoting them using bots/instagram campaigns.
From what I've read around here people recommend proxies, can someone explain more in that matter?

To be it as simply as it can be, an IP is an identity on the internet, just like your name in real life, instagram doesn't want one identity to have multiple accounts, 1 account = 1 identity (except for coffees but the device changes and the instagram are connected slowly over time and are very conservative with their followings).

Proxy = IP = new identity = new account.

So basically if you want to handle multiple accounts (5 more) you have to buy multiple proxies for each account.

You can do 1 proxy for 2 accounts but I prefer to keep it safe and stay with 1.

Adding to what @Samox123 said, you can use them easily by adding them to your browser settings. Firefox is the easiest for that. Your bot also should have settings for custom proxy -- usually need IP, port, username, and password.

How many accounts do you have running? I use 1 proxy per account, but I am cautious. I have run it before without proxies on 50 accounts for 6 weeks without any issue....so who knows, but safety is always my number one concern especially when proxies are only $2 a month from most providers.
