If I have a website with 1000 pages, will it be enough to get a ton of good one way links to only the index page, og is it a must to also get links to the different pages (or all 1000)?

If the index page has a high pagerank and I have a good internal linkstrukture, will it be possible to get all 1000 pages indexed in googles mainindex?

I am working in a noncompetitive field, so I basically need to get the site indexed ind the mainindex of google (no pages in sublimental index). Then that will do I think.

you can get the whole site indexed with all links coming to the index.
I would recommend spreading the links anyway as that works much better.

Supplemental index is not about how your links are as i believe, it is about that your pages are to much looking like each other so google puts those it sees as unique and good quality in their main index and the rest that it sees as duplicate content to your own site and other external sites there.

Thanks.

Will Google se it as spam if only the index page has links? Maybe it is a sign of an automated site?

You can get it indexed with backlinks to the homepage but like Kandor said, deep-linking is better for a variety of reasons. The biggest is that you can have a closer match between the anchor text of the backlink and the actual text of the page its linking to- Google appreciates this. To understand why, look at the converse- if someone created a site on Mother Theresa and created a bunch of backlinks to it using the anchor text "Discount chainsaws" -- Google would not find a match and would discount the link value.

My main business is black-hole sites, have been doing them for a few years- sites with thousands (sometimes millions of pages); they require a SEO that different from smaller sites that have a few pages. If you want to talk further about some other black-hole SEO strategies, feel free to PM me. Also glad to learn what you're doing as well.

Hi.

Will 5000 pages at ones on a new domain be too much?

Good content is build in time and updated daily/weekly/monthly.
So trowing 5k pages at once , maybe will not look good in Big G's eyes.
It depends on the quality of the content also.

I have a site that I completely overhauled. It had approximately 50 pages,
and I boosted it up to 500+ pages without any problems from Google. It
may have been viewed differently.. if it was a new site with 500+ pages.
Right now.. it has well over 1,000 pages that are indexed in Google.

Initially, I was able to get all pages indexed without backlinking to internal
pages, but as far as SEO goes.. it's best to build backlinks to internal
pages, with a bigger concentration of backlinks for the homepage itself.

A few months ago i threw up 4 Million at once on a new domain, it got PR6 on it's first update, has 1.1 Million pages indexed, gets 20k visitors a day and Googlebot chews about 100GB of bandwidth (4 Mil hits) a month.

How do you even get 4 million pages????? WTF

Please tell I wanna know more......how did you get content?

Matt Cutts says inbound links are more important. He says that they have lowered the ratio of backlinks with a little degree and upgraded the value of insite links.
