Hey everyone Iv been on here for a while and I just wanted to share something I started doing recently that's working really well for me.

I read a post about laying horses on the betfair exchange and it got me interested and as they say on BHW if you see a model you like get in there and give it a try :) I had an old betfair account so I thought "why not"

So I deposited £30 in there via paypal and had a look around. Honestly I didn't really have a clue but soon realised the potential just as I was about to go on holiday!!!

I then had an idea on holiday about getting some expert advice so I purchased the daily mail and they take each race card and 2 experts give their opinion on who will win and then I was scared betting so I then chose only horses they both agreed on (usually 6-10 a day).

I then bet on that horse to be placed you get lower odds but more success and this has been real successful :) I then went with a twist and bet on football and again if you research its pretty easy to pick the right team and if you bet £10 and get £12 back its better than a bank right!!!

Obviously it takes time to get it right and if you want you can bet in play which is so easy to pick a winner or a loser if you want to lay horses or teams too!!! :) The beautiful thing with betfair is they give you radio coverage of the races so you can follow the progress and bet accordingly :) could it be easier!!! :L

Anyway Im going to try and visit this thread and update a lot to let you know how its going?? and if you have any questions or advice then drop me a line

lol that's gambling, not making money
and we have locally, this type of gambling.
eventually you'll lose this $210 and more if you continue gambling on experts opinions .s

If betting is as easy as reading the newspaper, how come that betting companies make so much money?

I turned £100 into £500 within like 2-3 days using the 'martingale' roulette system. Got greedy then lost it all. Never gambling again.

Edit: Actually I probably would still gamble but only when I'm making a comfortable amount of money through other methods (never count on gambling as a source of income). Gambling is okay as long as you don't overdo it, set aside a certain amount each week to gamble and if you lose it all just forget about it - never, I repeat NEVER chase losses. That's how I lost it all...

    Hello,

I have a full automated database related to french horse races.
Here in France, horses gambling is a really big market (>10 billions ????), but I never did sell any horse race advice.
Perhaps an IM idea if you can automatize all the processes ... (if you have some programming skills, it would be easy, I did my own system with Python).

    gg

PS : sorry for my poor language, I am just French !!!

I used to trade the horse races ..its the same principle, but I would bet on the movement of the odds (Up, or down)

I also have a dabble on the horses directly, and have been pretty successful! My next door neighbor is a gambling addict, and he loves the horses .. He once won a 6 horse accumulator! With a 2 pound bet, he won almost a hundred thousand!!!

Good luck, don't get greedy. This is like poker, depending on capital,it's suggested to play on a certain limit. So as you have 230 pounds now, don't bet them all,or half the next day.Keep your bets on a avarage of about 10-20 pounds a day,so you're going to be safer.

Hmm...Maybe use the 210 to start up a small gambling system, where people lose money to you instead of you doing the same to another company. Of course there's quite a few hurdles you'll have to go through but the chances of generating a positive income with a system is much better than gambling

Gambling isn't a business and you can't make money from gambling, because you're it's um, gambling.

I remember seeing a thread on bhw asking people to do simple arithmetic and like 40% got it wrong, so really it's no wonder that people think you can make money with gambling with "systems" and "not chasing losses". That's all just crap.

Games like roulette are just a way for you to bleed money. You'll bleed 5-11%(depending on the type of roulette) of your bankroll over time. Sometimes you'll win, sometimes you'll lose, but mathematically it's around 5-11% you'll end up losing over many hands.

Even with sports you're up against the bookmakers who calculate the odds with mathematicians and computer systems. It's very hard to consistently beat them. Unless you're a better mathematician and can manage to come up with an algorithm that successfully incorporates more variables then you're not going to consistently win.

None of this is business. It's just a fool's game. The type of fool who wants a quick buck. You make money by providing value, plain and simple.

I think you're all missing the point. Op is lay betting, not straight up gambling.

hey everyone thanks for your comments and your opinions I was only wanting to share my method and if that was something people could use then this post was worth it my aim is to now use this as a stepping stone to bigger things.

Im now gonna use a money management system to ensure my stack remains good, Iv already removed my £30 and a profit of £45 I will now be using the remaining balance never using more than 10% ona bet and upscaling. This is about lay betting and beating the odds using all the information available I never said it was easy.

I am using the money to diversify and this is only one part of the grand plan thanks for all your comments keep coming back if your interested and keep up the comments I love a little banter.

    regards

Wait, when did I say gambling was a business?

And of course you can make money from gambling. Just don't rely on it, that's all I'm saying.

You could not pay with paypal! This is a gamble, and paypal does not approve of this.

betfair do actually accept paypal please see their site if you do not believe me and I appreciate that the system always wins in most cases however on the betfair exchange you actually only bet against other people its their bet against yours and betfair take a small commission of ever bet!

So therefore you are only betting using the information you have against another gambler and yes its gambling but if you bet on man utd not to lose to wolves when they are 2- 0 up already that means wolves have to score 3 goals!!! the odds would be low but the return is a 97% return.

If you wish I will do a detailed report on how the betfair exchange system works if that would be beneficial as my name suggests we were in the fb fans game but had to move out of that market we now operate in mns sites and looking at other avenues of improving long term income.

In fact the proceeds of today £50 has been used to purchase a service on bhw today so im giving back to the community.

    regards

odds are always crap if you lay on football or horses, and you end up putting more and more on, i did it for a while but its not fool proof, lost in the end, be careful with football, surprising how many times draw games can screw you up

That doesn't make sense. It's like saying if you invest £5000/day in adwords and make £1000 using plan A then plan A makes you money. That's the equivalent of "making money" with gambling.

Yes, if you invest 5k and make 1k you've made money. If you're making money this when then congrats. Continue your 'gambling money management system'. lol.
