Some people recommend creating a private blog network with high PR domains. It sounds like it would involve quite a lot of setup work, but could be the best option overall.

It doesn't matter actually what kinda site it is - you promote all sites in the same way. You don't need to make a difference between amazon and other sites however, i´d say, make sure you have 2 call of actions when you do a product review - one in the middle, one at the end and don't forget to add amazon affiliate links to your images.:)
    • You find out who your target audience is (demographics, age, country, interests and so on) then where they hang out and promote to them.
    • Utilize search engine optimization and social media marketing tactics.
    • Ping the sites once a week and use social networking sites to your advantage..
    • Try using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing.
    • Offer free reports to your readers.
    • Use better reviews than the ones offered by amazon, unique ones, then rank above the amazon link
    • Use Facebook ads but just make sure that the affiliate website is allowed to be promoted on Facebook to promote your sites.
Yeah nowadays forums often don't even let you have a sig with an link to your website. Even if you add value to the forum and just want it in your sig, even if you don't spam the forum constantly. Which I understand but it makes IM harder.

In a Nutshell, it really depends on the niche.. But all paid traffic methods that work with other types of websites should work with amazon sites.:)
    • Thanks Thanks x 1

Another tip is to also include alot of text links to amazon. i agree, forums are getting stricter, i neutralize the effect by info-graphic guest posts and having a network of between 10-20 web 2.0s per site.

I have a question concerning Amazon & Facebook.
I've been posting the aff. link to an Amazon product on some artists page for quite a while and even got the top comment sometimes due to some likes I put on those links.
I already received my first payment a few weeks ago and nothing bad has happened so far. Here at BHW they often say this way of promoting Amazon links is not allowed and they will suspend your account soon.
Is this really a true thing?
Btw. I am not doing this for Amazon.com, I'm doing this for Amazon in my country.

    Thanks :)
