In short this method involved reuploading other peoples content. I originally wanted to build a compilation channel to drive traffic to a channel I was planning on starting and this compilation channel ended up doing very well with 1.9k subs and over 100k organic views in 4 months
Niche
For this method it is important to pick a niche where people will not mind you re uploading their videos, certain niches people are trying to get as much attention as possible, and if you reupload one of their videos and start driving traffic to their page, they are not going to take down your video as they will lose a lot of free traffic
Method
Then start ripping videos of people who either haven't used Youtube for a long time or are starting out and trying to get noticed. Edit on your own intro, music and ending cad. Upload to your channel and link to original channel on first line and with annotaions.
Create high contrast thumbnails, optimize video, use Heartbeat to find what tags videos in this niche have and then use the same to try and get on their suggested videos
Keep repeating, once you get confident that you are not going to get copyright strikes, then link to your adsense (I grew channel for 2 months before linking to adsense)
Warning:I have now got 1 out of 3 copyright strikes as I reuploaded content from a big company, so avoid reuploading content from big and active companies
Conclusion
I then launched my own channel in this niche, started driving traffic from compilation channel and my channel grew to 400 subs in first month, plus I still have this channel driving traffic and making money
