How I monetized YOUTUBE ACCOUNTS

So I monetized two accounts. (more before but this info is only about two accounts)

The first one:
Niche = entertainment / humor
day 1:
-Uploaded 25 vids.
-1 got flagged right away
- removed 10 other cause we realized it was shit we should not be uploading for obvious copyright infringement ( batch of 1k vids we pulled 25)

-therefore 15 videos left.

Each video was submited to STUMBLEUPON with relevant tags. plus liked (by us)


Account was left to sit for three days without any action. Just as a test to see what would happen, views, ect.

Day 4 : Request to monetize ( please note this was in NOVEMBER

Account #2

I decided to keep actual track of everything I was doing for this one. I like to analyze things and thought I would once again share my YT analysis here like my keyword / seo for YT thread (look it up if interested)


Niche = music

Day 1:
-uploaded 7 vids
-Keywords + descriptions + likes were done


Day 2:
- Uploaded more, now @18 vids
- KW + DESC + Likes
- STUMBLE upon submits for all 18 vids
- DELICIous submits for all 18 vids
-Vagex 500 credits each video with my main keyword


DAY 3:
-Uploaded, now @40
-vagex on half of the newer videos only (still 500 cr)
+ plus all other stuff above from day 2

Let the account sit until monetization request

day 9: 40 vids, 1 sub + 7500 views = adsense req

Take note that account #2 was started Jan 2nd. Hence I believe it is safe to assume YT was backed up a bit due to the holidays. ( I say this because I noticed a slowdown in response to their emails, and how fast they reviewed request for ads on videos)

It could also have to do with the niche.

All in all - 3 to 9 days

I have 6 videos, with 9000 views and 34 sub. How I can request the monetization?

The 2nd account got accepted TODAY - so I posted this before I forgot.


1st account is still inactive at the moment as we are waiting on something....not giving out too much info about my activities as IT HAS BEEN PROVEN PEOPLE LEAK INFO FROM HERE TO YOUTUBE... (not you but you prob know what I am talking about)

I am waiting for my ads to show up on the second account, before I give it a full go and bring it up to 1k vids, sit back, and watch the show.

It is a lot of work, but I believe long term, it will pay off as I have done this technique with another of my accounts and stumble upon can bleed in 500 - 2k views over two months.

I think it is not bad since it is just a bit of work, but then you set it, and forget it.

6 videos dude.... at least bring it to 15-20 ...wait a bit, and you should get requested.

I have one account that had 8 vids and got requested after sitting inactive for a few months.

upload more vids, and let it sit a few days
 
Useful report and analytic info, you just gave me an idea and I will try something out in the next couple of days, if everything goes smoothly I will post my feedback here.

I've never read about YT monetization and am boon there. Still, this sounds very interesting.

Any ideas on the amount of cache you're expecting?

You never heard of YT monetization ? You have to be kidding, just check out the YT section and you will find good info.
 
i don't know what the rhyme or reason is for monetization. I had an account with 1 video with 4000 views and got a monetization request.
 
I have no idea if my method works for other countries....some people can monetize with one video that goes well....This is just a quick way to POSSIBLY plug in your adsense in less than two weeks.

Nothing is guaranteed, this is meerly statistical info to help other wrap their heads around the whole concept.
 
Aight guys I am preparing for a third test, plus gonna keep pushing test #2 to see if using this method nonstop could actually lead to being full partner.

Had a slowdown in my work since I had connection problems, and going out to snowboard for two days - will get back on this on my return!

what do you think about monetizing music on youtube with AdSense?

Who said that this was what I was doing? music can be anything from me talking about a trumpet to a bass, guitar ect tunner.
 
And also, who cares what I am doing? You just wanna copy cat and not have to think for yourself. Try things out innovate, share some things, keep some secret...

It's a dog eat dog world out there son...And I say this with the utmost respect dude. Doing something new or twist on things will make more $.

Think what is easiest for you and that you REALLY have knowledge in.

One account I take care of for a business, they get added within 12h....
My other accounts take days and usually I just have to email them for them to get something done.

Always get the "Sorry we are receiving a high volume of this or that" ....dude, fucking hire more people! You are multi millionaires!

Hey guru, I want to copy nothing from you, I'm doing YouTube stuff myself, mainly uploading music + CPA and with a twist as you said, so I just asked your opinion on this as you are too have experience with YT and seemed to be wanting to contribute here. If you dont' want to answer my questions just say that, son. No point to act like bitch, dude. Thank you! ;-)
 
Even if my adsense account wasn't banned, I wouldn't monetize with ads. First they're annoying, and secondly don't they lead to more scrutiny of your videos?
 
I was killing it with adsense/youtube for a while. Made 400/wk from a few sports/animal videos that went viral. This was in October/November of last year.

Honestly since then, it's harder to monetize videos. People are more aware of their rights, and will have your videos pulled (even if the views aren't too high).

Also it seems that in the new year it's harder to monetize videos, period. Youtube rejects requests left and right. I'm also a musician, and sometimes they even reject my own original videos.

I find the best way to monetize Youtube is through being creative with CPA offers.

Yes I know I have no rep here, but hopefully this helps someone.

Have you guys ever tried to monetize using a pay-per-stream video sharing site instead of YT? I mean let's be honest, you're lucky if you make $7 cpm on youtube (after split w YT), so getting 9,000 views makes you $63, not a whole lot of $$ for the effort.
There are micro pay per stream sites like vuier that lets you price your own content and its ad free. So even if i price my video at $0.09 and get 9,000 views i just made $810 for the same amount of effort. I still have to get the videos out there by embedding or sharing but making 10x more on the same video is a no brainer.
