Here's my idea...
Put the item on C'list priced somewhere between the A'zon retail price and actual price.
Say to email you for a pic.
Setup an auto responder and say that the pic is from A'zon and comment on how much more it costs there quoting A'zons crossed out retail price.
They go to the A'zon and are pleasantly surprised at how much less the item costs.
They purchase the item and everybody lives happily ever after.
If they actually want to contact you put a different (phony) email in the body of the email for any questions.
I'm a newbie. I still need reassurance.

No, use the CPA Redirector plugin and link your CL ad to the magic number URL which automaticially redirects to Amazon. Then your referrer comes up as your regular blog post running a legit Amazon ad.
No blanking, no emails and a genuine referrer.

To sign up as an affiliate amazon asks me for my "Tax I.D. Number" Is there any way to bypass this, I am only 16.

What idiot DOESN'T check Amazon first to find what the going price of a new microwave is...THEN check Craigslist to see if you can beat it locally?
C'mon, admit it. We're making money off of stupid people. I've almost gotten rid of this vague, lingering guilt on exploiting the dumb. For the longest time I would look at Clickbank offers and go, "who would BUY this crap?"
Apparently a lot.
This is why I'm so late to the Internet Marketing game. I'm sorry for pointing out the obvious, I'll just sit down now and continue listening.

This is how I feel haha, in real life im so pissed at how dumb some people can be, but for some reason i still have a small problem using it for profit (although thats starting to go away) i think that is a big first challenge of black hat
i like this idea, and dont think you are really making money off them bein stupid, just think of it as you are doin the shopping for them, and you are getting the commission . ill have to tweak it a lil and try this in a little bit

Don't feel bad. The laziness of one group = profit for those willing to take advantage of the opportunity.
I'm starting a few CL campaigns like this this week. I plan to use the CPA Referral faker plug-in to cover my tracks. I can see running this up to become a good stream of $50/day with some effort and dedication and many campaigns.
For those suggesting Ebay as an alternative earlier, wouldn't it be better to just use the old CL-Wanted section -> Ebay auction referral?
And finally, for those in the know, would it be best to try to use a lot of proxies between postings especially if posting to different CL cities?
