Thanks for the info... I knew about the existence of gold farming but i never thought about applying it myself . I was so in to internet marketing CPA, adsense, amazon and bla bla that I missed this other alternative. Sure I will try it, thanks again.

You sound so oblivious on how to bot....
There are many people who bot and make easy 50-100$ per day without getting banned for quite a while.
As for chinese sellers...the bigger sellers make over $10k daily from re-selling gold.
I personally know 1 chinese company that banks over $600k yearly

I honestly don't know how you could have gotten 100's of bans... Literally on the forums where you buy the bots there is plenty of info on how to avoid bans for quite a while.
What's more Blizzard don't have an auto ban system lol. Got 2 Blizzard employee friends and no such thing exist. They can detect bots, but it's not some high-end system. Truth be told, bots are so easy if Blizzard really wanted they could ban 99% within 1-2 weeks, but they would be losing money doing that that's why they ban just for show every now and then.

Agreed. For example, the Honorbuddy forum has loads of advice on staying under the radar. If the bans were really chronic, then you'd hear about it!

The new expansion wrecked the gold selling market. It's stupid easy to make gold now, and the market tanked because it's so flooded. Not to mention you need to know what you're doing before you try your hand at this or else you're gonna end up losing way more money than you'll make due to banned accounts.

Personally I don't buy that OP is making this amount of gold unless he's running ~50 bots at the same time. The investment alone for something like that (plus bot keys) is FAR more than $200. Plus you have to invest in VPNs, virtual machine software... it goes on and on. One slip with the wrong IP address and a GM can easily wipe out every account you've got.

Not trying to talk out my ass and discourage people from giving this a shot, but I'm speaking from experience as someone who legitimately sold gold and made quite a bit from it over the last year. If anyone doubts my experience, I've got around 500 posts on the Honorbuddy Forum under the same username.

If you absolutely MUST give this a try, do NOT sell to just "anyone" in the game or online. Many "buyers" are actually sellers who go to great lengths to get competitors banned. Get in a guild and spend time with members. Earn their trust, then say something like you've got 100k sitting around and need money for college books or something.

Um take a look at the banned section not to mention i'm speaking from experience.

If you like to believe you can make 600k a year doing this then go on.

But if you were slightly realistic you'd know that's not gonna happen.

I'll calculate you something if everything went well with 50 bots you'd be making 800 gold per hour per account times 12 hours time 25 days because of the downtime and bot updates that's 12m.
So you got 12m working let's say 8 hours a day even weekends so 25 days a month considering you have to level these accounts and they will not last a month but let's just assume they do because you think the banrate is low which is complete bullshit.
8 times 25 is 200 hours then you need to sell the gold which in bulk is around 0.2-0.3$ per k maybe 0.4 if you sell to customers so let's say 3000$.

So if everything goes right you've worked 200 hours for 3000$.
Then you have to factor in the licenses for honorbuddy that's around 1000 euro for 50.
Now wow+wod costs around 40-50$ in the US.
That's 40 times 50 at the very least so that's 2000$.

So that comes down to 3136$ cost and 3000 income if everything goes well so you've made a loss the first month for 136 dollars if you don't get banned and considering you're gonna be botting 12 hours a day without breaks you will.

Now you could claim well I make more then 800 gold per hour per account using 50 accounts and I will say bullshit because 800 gold per hour is already more then what most of you would average.
Then you might be like oh well let's just bot 24/7 instead of 12 hours well I was already stretching it with 12 hours so if you're gonna play that card you gotta be really stupid.

Truth is even if the banrate was 0 running 50 accounts for 1500-2000 a month profit after the first month is a joke.
It's too much work for too little pay.

You think you have 8 hours a day 7 days a week to spare to run 50 bots which is a lot of work for 1-2k profit a month if everything goes well?

I even forgot the 5 computers you'd need to run this many bots that's another 2500+ then you got the electricity costs oh wait you don't pay electricity that's free right?

Then do that i'm not stopping anyone here.

Check out the ban section in the HB forums. There are quite a few ban reports and remember not everybody who gets banned, reports it there. You can get banned for two things - botting, and selling gold. You need to make a lot of gold to make a decent monthly income out of it and when you make so much gold, you cannot stay under the radar when you try to sell the gold.

Also, the bot requires constant supervision and babysitting.

The risk reward ratio is not favorable at all. Honestly, you can make a lot more money through some of the IM methods shared in BHW.

Besides Chinese use stolen credit cards to buy a ton of accounts and they follow the churn and burn strategy, and don't care if they lose the accounts since they were purchased using stolen credit cards.

I wonder if I could figure out something similar for my current drug of choice, Guild Wars 2. Seems harder to make gold and even harder to sell it with the "friendly" community that seems to rally against chat spam for gold sellers and even guild recruiting. Then again, I know a couple people personally who often buy gems with real money, but if I could sell them the equivalent gold (you can turn gold into gems/vice versa) for a few bucks less than the official price, I could see this working. Er, provided I figure out a way to make bank lol. Seems ANet is pretty constant with nerfing anything people figure out to make high amounts of gold easily. I've tried playing the in-game economy, but it's so in-depth that at that point, I might as well learn real economics lol
