Nice! Haven't touched wow since the cap was level 50. Back in the day I used to farm mesos for maplestory with my bots. Just like the Chinese farmers except smaller scale. Craigslist is surprisingly good when it comes to selling virtual currency for most popular games. Made few friends from customers

OP explained the method via PM. Although I haven't tried it yet, it sounds reasonable and would probably work. However, it will take time and effort to make money this way. You will need a well geared toon to begin with, preferably a tank or a healer spec.
There is also a risk involved. OP suggests selling gold to private buyers by advertising in /2. I've done this in the past and have had my account banned since selling in-game currency is not allowed by Blizzard.

LOL I am playing WoW and AION in my spare time for fun (although I haven't got much free time lately).
Making cash while playing would be good, so I wouldn't feel bad for not doing anything those hours that I play
