How I Live a Private Life as an Internet Marketer

Those same rednecks are on Facebook. A bunch of them are on my timeline's at least.

Facebook makes U$ 34 billion revenue but only U$ 2 billion in Asia. As webmasters we all know how much traffic Asia can drive, but as you can see it's financially low value traffic.

Their shares are doing great after-market though right now, so for the short term FB is definitely not dying. Though their monthly chart surely does paint a concerning picture.

The danger of these rednecks is that they can be much more vocal about their stupidity via twitter/reddit as its more anonymous, whereas on facebook they tend to bitch and moan, and eventually give up/delete their post as someone attacks them back + facebook's moderation team is pretty good at removing hate speech. Also, your newsfeed is probably fucked if that's the kind of content you're seeing.

Re: asian demo - that's reported figures - the indirect revenue they make from asia is far more (the data, partners, which for accounting reasons probably aren't reported in Asia), and the level of activity in asia for facebook is only growing. Anyway, I don't want to give away too much, I don't want people jumping on the asian bandwagon, so take this piece of knowledge as you want. All I will add is; there's a reason zuckerberg has been fighting for years to get China.

I'm just saying, we can bitch and moan about facebook all we want, but at the end of the day, its no worse than twitter or reddit, and my umbrella point that social media is here to stay still remains.

The reptile that is zuckerberg will just mould facebook, but it's not going anywhere. Nor is social media as a whole, I refer back to my original opening point "Saying social media will die is like saying banks will die". It's far too involved in our day to day lives to die, for now. Maybe in 50-100 years, who knows.

It's all over the place, not just my feed. If it weren't, then you wouldn't know about it. Right? You're seeing it too.

I see the same level stuff on /r/The_Donald than I see on FB or anywhere. It's generalized IMO.

All that revenue is stated on their SEC filings. I can only base myself on data. Published data is as I mentioned. I agree with you about Asia's wealth of indirect contributions to their overall value, but we can argue the same about EU and USA. So sticking to revenue is more rational. Shareholders perceive revenue first.

Agree with your general point that it's not immediately dying but what I see and the news we see all tell me social media will be changing hard in the coming years. And like I said, if you flip a few buttons on Facebook it easily becomes something else. There is a very thin line between Facebook and Reddit or whatever, it's mainly the true identity thing.

Oh, for sure. Zuck might make FB into Digg or Reddit if he feels that's the way forward. But that would be what we're calling "FB dying" here, right? Dying as it is today? True identity centered social media, with all its spying and psychological games will not stand much longer IMO.

The US Supreme Court ruled that anonymity is a basic right. Anonymity will not go away, so "social networks" that leverage anonymity are also here to stay, they're more fun and more fluid than Facebook and the now defunct Google Plus.

(BTW Google Plus is a perfect example of the creepy real ID policies that might kill FB as it is today)

I need to quit Social Media too. But the thing is, I'm there for the knowledge i get, not the entertainment aspect.
you should search for knowledge you want. Don't let facebook tell you what you should learn

Many of you seem to think that we cannot stay in touch with families without facebook, twitter etc. But facebook & other social networks has become a news aggregating companies where they push you lot of content to program your mind. When I was using facebook, I was seeing lot of posts from people praising Narendra Modi (Our PM). I saw a lot of good things about him and became his fan. But later when I started reading real news & started researching more & more, i found out how he was manipulating our country's youth. He is using his IT cell where 25-30,000 people work & everyone is provided with 10-20 fake accounts of whatsapp, facebook etc. They promote fake news all over the internet, many of which have resulted in death of innocent citizens. They also harass anyone who doesn't support them.

In my opinion, there should be a p2p social network where companies won't collect data

That's really interesting.
I was always curious about such people.
Brave ones.

most people think in terms of black and white, why not still have social media accounts, but exercise control!!
this is a much harder goal and its what im working on right now

Having social media and so on is alright, but just take care of what you are sharing and posting. Normal people can use it as they want and post dumb shit, but as soon as you go political, become a CEO (I guess there are many CEOs on here) etc. you should be really careful on what you post.

Actually it is smart to have social media accounts "just for the record". Its like "I have nothing to hide, because I am a decent person anyway". If you go Blackhat you should always consider to be as anonymous as possible. At least have an alibi. I know a guy who made a bank account, verified it with his passport and three days before he sent an application to the gov. to get a new passport, because he "lost" his passport. This smart. In the agencies this is called plausible deniability. Someday if someone asks why he got this bank account he will just say "What? Thats not possible. Someone stole my passport this time, look I even got a new one around this time." I highly recommend you guys to get into the CIA, history etc. more to understand how they work, what they do etc. it can be really helpful for you.

we should care about our privacy. Saying that "I don't care about privacy because I have nothing to hide" is like saying "I don't care about free speech because I have nothing to say"

Really very nice article & you've described all the possible ways to keep ourselves private.
But, if you are doing a business and want to grow yourself as a businessman or business-person then the ways you've described are really not useful.
Its possible that you are not using Social Media Sites from your personal phones or laptop but you've to present your company or your public media appearance through social media.

And, DuckDuckGo is really a great solution but 90% people cant survive their life without using Google or other similar apps which use to collect personal data; like: JustDfood deliveryevery Apps, Online YellowBook Apps etc etc.

Most of all, your company details and your address etc will be displayed publically in the Government's website.

If you want to live a simple life then 100% privacy is possible.
But, if you want to be a Millionaire then it's not possible at all. Because then you've to be a Public figure.

a private life is possible as a celebrity. As long as you don't put your personal information like phone, email address, address then its okay. And celebrities have advantage that if someone creates their fake account then people will know its fake. But that's not same to common people. If someone creates an account using my name & details to spread fake info or misuse it then i am f*/ked

Dear mate, the AI & your IOT is more clever than you.
I think you were talking about some higher level like: How to prevent the Government to track the Data etc.
Keeping Mail ID or Phone No secret is really very ground level stuff.
But you were saying about doing business over the Internet by keeping yourself private.
And, if you want to grow yourself then you can't hide. The celebrities has not become celebrities within 1 day. They have also lost their personal life to become a public figure.

Maybe you didn't fully understand what I wrote. I said its good to have social media accounts "for the record". Means accounts where you don't post anything. Lets face the truth: Almost everyone got social media accounts these days, if you don't have any of them you'll be suspicious. This is the way of thinking. Don't forget we are living in a world now where governments can justify everything by anything.

When you hand out all your info/data freely
You voluntarily give up whatever free will, you think you may have.

FB,Google
They create profiles on everyone, they buy data from multiple other sources.
They know your likes, dislikes, behaviors, patterns, where you go, how much time you spend at each location, how much money you make, who your friends & known assosciates are.

NLP,Mentalism,"Lesser magick" the art of manipulation has been used by governments & ruling bodies for thousands of years.

48 laws of power
Law 14: Pose as a friend, work as a spy

If you know all of someones patterns & behaviours, you can begin to start testing them.
lets pop up this ad or event on their news feed, lets see if they are interested.
Lets orchestrate them to go to this event, on this date.
What will it take to make this person be there, how many little butterfly effect changes will we need to do.

This can all be done on a mass scale & is frequently seen with newspaper & subliminal messaging used.

If I was to manipulate someone to think of a word.
knowing all the logos & words they regularly see, these words are all stored in their "quick access" part of the brain.

They can easily be manipulated to think & say things they have recently seen.
Humans are lazy & will take the fastest way to compute the answer, which may have been an answer you implanted into their subconscious.

In Short - Block out as much "noise" as you can.
Our brain stores everything we hear, see,do
Don't let others overuse your CPU, it's your brain, protect your sovereignty

*Instant Messaging is toxic, it breeds impatience & poor mindset = poorer people.
No one successful & in business is going to let others abuse their time.

This is one of the many factors why the middle class is disappearing, Social media has bred lack of self control. Increases of anxiety, you see it on the road, shops, online everyday.

Respect yourself & your time, whenever you respond to someone that is your time you are giving out.

Well, we can always go back and use smoke signals embedded in morse code

Hate to break it to you, but you're neither anyonymous nor "private". You're not even running Tails for fuck's sake lmao
Your VPNs will sell your data, whether or not they promise they won't.
Tor hasn't been anonymous in ages, resizing the browser window once is enough to track you down.
ProtonMail is not private or secure. They're moral retards too, and willingly send their users to prison if they talk about something they disagree with.

Now, since everybody is telling how much Monitored all our activities/lives are, can Anybody Please, explain to me:
"How come we still have these Terrorist attacts all over the world???"

Just Think about it! How come 'nobody' is seeing it coming??

FYI
And yes, I Do have black sticker on all my computer cameras, and yes, I do have computers which are Not connected to Internet
and yes, I deleted my Facebook account loooong time ago (as soon as it became the "in" for mobs), although I believe they still keep my old info in their db.
and yes, I am still registered on some of the Social media, and considering others like: Minds, Gab etc.

And YES, it Does Annoy me if somebody/Anybody is gathering my private info Without my consent or even knowledge.
It is jut NOT right!

BTW:
here you can find a list of VPNs located in 14+ Eyes contries, and also recommedations for better ones:
