I saw another thread this morning on Upwork. I really dislike these types of sites, as they take a chunk of your money and sometimes take forever to process payments. I'm new to the community and want to give a little back, so this might not be mindblowing, but it's an easier way to find work imo.

Go to Search Tempest, select Category "gigs" > "writing" Where "your zipcode" Distance "any distance"

Search filters: for pay

Options: single link results

Just scroll through and apply for what speaks to your experience and skill level. :)

There might be similar sites out there that do a better job too. I'm not saying this is the absolute best method out there ... just one thing I do that cuts down on time spent applying for new work. Good luck!

None. It's just a search engine that crawls Craigslist listings.

where should this be done? could you clarify

THANK YOU so much Yack, for showing how simple it is to freelance without dealing with judgmental middlemen asking for a cut, "in order to be worthy" to seek a job.. Buyer and seller beware when making deals with strangers on the web, but it's not that dangerous to do a deal. People have been hiring people for SEO or content work through Craigslist or other free web classifieds since forever.

Gold old days using searchtempest :)

Glad to know the site is still around

These days, you can also find decent listings on LinkedIn and Indeed. Just search for "writers" with a location of "remote."
