It's not quite easy to get real traffic.
But if you put some efforts you can taste it.
Make proper On-Page Optimization like meta description,title, and alt tags etc.,
Use unique and fresh content and update it when it seems necessary.
Get backlinks from authoritative and affiliated sites to get more LinkJuice.
I think you can Concentrate on niche sites rather than general sites.
