hi guys i want to learn web designing and i am new so please suggest me full information about web designing and what things i have to learn to be a good web designer?

Being that you're located in India where hundreds if not thousands of Web Development companies are located, put in some applications locally expressing your interest in a position as an unpaid intern and see if you get any responses. This will allow you to get experience as a Web Developer while also getting experience in a professional environment.

codecademy . com

Do the courses for html, css, and javascript, jquery to learn the basics.

You will need to know HTML,PHP,Javacript,CSS, and maybe some MYSQL.

I would start to make a homepage in wordpress. Read up on CSS and use a tool like firebug very useful. With that tool you can for example see where in the CSS file to change things to change the output on the homepage or move things around. CSS is powerful with all todays CMS you dont really need to know PHP and HTML as starter. Start play around with CSS and try learn how things works. After that you can read up on PHP,MYSQL then some Javascript / jQuery. I think learn by doing is the best way.

ok web design !! You want to learn designing PSD and converting them to HTML/CSS ? Or html/css only ?

Depends what you want to start with. But there are lots of information on the internet which you can select and kick start

If you just want to be able to make websites, learn to use Wordpress. It's definitely the easiest and fastest way to get into creating websites.

If you want to do web design that's more complex and hard coded, you'll have your plate full.

Hello , maybe you got a lot of answers about your question but i'll try to give you my plan , maybe it will work for you ..
ook i start learning network at first to understand how the web is working and how everything is moving in the net , then i moved to HTML " its easy " , after that CSS and finally PHP world :D , try to catch those languages then you'll be able to do eveything ..

Start with Basic Learning from Local College. After that Start some Free Design Services to test your skills, after that Jump in to Fiverr.

I would suggest CodeAcademy. You could also check out Youtube, there are a lot of video tutorials that would definitely help you out.

I disagree with a few of those. To be able to design a website, you only really need to know HTML and CSS. The rest are not mandatory, but can be useful. Don't set yourself a huge task right off the bat. Start with the basics.

It never hurts to just view the source of whatever website you happen to be browsing, and getting a feel for how it's structured. I learnt a ton doing that.

You don't need PHP. Nor do you need to know Photoshop. Heck, you don't even need to know javascript (there's jquery for that).
These days it's all about HTML5 + CSS3.

Many have suggested codeacademy, which is a great resource. Once you know the basics, the best way to master webdesign is to take apart beautiful designs and learn how they're made.

I would suggest w3schools for the basic of html and css. Those 2 were the basic language you need in order to create website pages.
Web designing is not just about pages, you'd either need to create Web Design in PSD (photoshop file) to use for your new pages, or you can get a free one out there and start with them.

Good luck!

Of course that includes designing and programming for Android, These days, every small business needs a website. We?ll go over a number of different strategies being used to teach web development and discuss how you can figure out the most appropriate for your unique learning style. We?ll also include some resources to get you started on each available path.

Webdesign != Webdesign ;)

What do you want to do? Just learn enough to design your own static sites? Design mobile apps? How about dynamic content or bigger Web-Apps?

Start with the basics as others have said before (Javascript, CSS, HTML5, SQL). Get a good mixture of reading and getting practical experience. Especially practical experience is important. Start with a real project, ideas should be out here in BHW plenty.

designing and development are two different part to learn designing you have to learn html/css and on the other hand for development you have to learn all scripting lang :)

To code use w3schools, to design use Photoshop. Just search on YouTube some tutorials and try to be creative and patient!
