It’s complicated if your audience is somewhat uncooperative. Maybe try with some questions? I think most FB pages use “Good morning” and similar posts to engage with their followers, but it can get annoying over time.

Everything depends on your goals, is it a personal brand? Are you offering a product or service? That is going to give you the answer to know your focal audience in order to get them to follow your account, which is the only way you can make engagement with your audience. Because, as we all know, without interaction these platforms won’t work.
