So seeing as I'm (kinda) new to IM I always wondered how high CTR was achieved by some people. Let's face it, some people place their ads horribly and that is why no one clicks them or it can be because of the keywords you're targetting, but I found something that works great is a combination of certain things.

First of all I chose a keyword with a high commercial value.. Basically a keyword people would search for before buying a product.. I then purchased CTR theme (they have a BHW offer somewhere) BUT! I didn't think their own options were what gave me the best results so I took and reactivated (because I had it before) Quick Adsense which is a plug-in that allows you to automatically place ads where ever you want. I then chose 3 ads per page, one below the title, one in the middle of the article and one at the end..

CTR theme surely repaid itself by increasing my CTR in addition to having a nice and clean internal link structure. I hope you could use my advice. I don't have a reason to personally sell CTR theme (since I did not put any affiliate link). I just know I would have enjoyed it, had I gotten the experience or the knowledge earlier.

By saying kinda a noob I must admit my personal record is $6 in a day with adsense..

    Alright, back to work =)

I thought you couldn't place ads below the title since it's deceiving to the visitors and it's against adsense TOS. I'm currently at 66 page views with no clicks using CTR theme so I'm trying to figure out if my CTR should be higher or if it's my ad placement. Then again, I'm pretty sure the pageviews are from admins checking out my site and from my own visits.

Where does it say you can't place ads below the title?!?!

G doesn't mind ads below your post title - they don't allow ads under misleading headings, which might be your confusion (something like "recommended links:" would be against tos)

You can see here for more details about ads below titles:

66 page views isn't enough traffic to test your ad placement with, so moving it around and then getting a click is going to make you think the new position is better, but there just isn't enough data to make a real decision.
    - if you follow G's suggestions, it should be fine, then just leave it alone till you get enough traffic to actually test with.

(or even better, leave the ads off entirely untill you get enough traffic)

    Also, to OP:
I have found that I get better cpc when I place only one ad (sometimes I put 2, but never 3).

Assign different channels to the ads, and I bet you will find that the ad at the top is getting over 90% of the clicks. Delete the middle and bottom ad, and see if you don't make more money overall.
