How has your backlink building strategy changed in 2026?

Yeah, I still think guest posts can work, but I’d look at the site itself rather than chasing DA/DR. If the site has real traffic, relevant content and an active audience, that’s a much better signal to me than a high-metric domain with hundreds of obvious paid posts. I’d also check the outbound links and overall quality before paying for a placement.
