How has Amazon changed over the past 3 years?

I haven't used or paid any attention to the Amazon affiliate program in quite a few years. If I'm looking to generate a lot of general traffic, is it still a good idea to send it to Amazon because of the tracking cookies?

Sounds like we can't 'spam' amazon aff links anymore? Now we have to send out links to a money site linked to amazon?

Sure you can spam the links if you know how to fake the referer.

With the tools available to affiliates why would you need to spam them.

It's the same program it was in the 90's. They've just become a bit more strict about affiliate disclosure. You gotta have a website and let them know you're an affiliate and which links are affiliate links, that's all.
