Hi,
Just yesterday I launched a new, service related, website. My initial plan was to gain customers through emails, meetings, and phone calls, giving them my website name for a reference/ portfolio. I then did a little bit of searching for the keyword: [location] [service] and from what I saw I can easily dominate the result, but the only issue is that the searches for [location] [service] are relatively low (Under 100 searches a month).
I don't mind going for that keyword because, even though the searches are relatively small, a 1% conversion rate from that keyword would still be nice. I then got to thinking, what's stopping me going for the keyword: [location] ? I did a bit of research and found, thanks to its American counterpart, my [location] actually has 2.5bn results.
I did a bit more research and on the search results (UK of course) and found that the number three spot, just to give an idea of the competition, has a DA of 86, with quite a few backlinks. After this I gave up ranking in the top 5, but when I looked into the number 7 I found it only has a few external links (apparently only 6) and a DA of 63.
So, I was wondering what you think my chances of ranking for the [location] are? I think over time it will be possible, but because of the 2.5bn results (Thanks to USA) I am not sure how much time/ money It will take.
What do you think?
