How hard is it to hit 10,000 subscribers?

So I have a YouTube channel that just hit 3,900 subs, and averages 1,000 - 3,000 views daily. But you would think with that many people watching daily, that more of them would actually click the subscribe button. What is it that makes people actually click it, versus not?

Quality of Chanel not just one video.

If your chanel is realted to programing and other videos are about programing you will gain more subs
 
Well, It really depends what are your videos for. You can gain some extra subscribers by putting an annonciation on right corner which says "Subscribe For More!" or something similar. You can also put your subscribe link on your description. Also try to communicate with your viewers. For example when there is something interesting in the video - put a little annonciation that says "Like For That Part Of The Video" or something like that. And of course the most important things is - make quality videos. Good luck!
 
A few months ago i made a test. I wanted to get as much subscriber as possible in just 1 week. My niche was "Vine Compilations". I uploaded 5 videos and used the unlisted method to rank them. I bought 5 K HR Views for each video. At the begining i just got a few subscribers each day (about 50).
But after i uploaded more and more videos i got about 500-1000 subscribers each day. I realized the more videos i uploaded the more subscribers i get. Not because more videos means more views and that means more subscribers. No, i mean i got more subscribers from each video than i got before.
I also realized that just about 10% of the new subscribers subscribed trhough the video. That means the viewers subscribed through the channel page.
Thats also a possbile explanation for the increase of daily subscribers for each video. Because if a viewer is interested in subscribing and goes to the channel page but theres just 1 video uploaded he won't subscribe, because people don't want to subscribe to a channel that has just 1 or a few videos uploaded. The possible subscriber needs to be convinced that the channel is going to continue to upload quality content which has at least the same quality as the video that made the viewer think about subscribing. So after 1 week i managed to get about 2600 Subscribers with just 5 Videos. And i got over 1 Million views just in 1 week with 0 subcribers. But sadly every single video i uploaded got flagged because of copyright problems.

If u want to start producing funny vines i recommend you to start uploading them to youtube with unlisted method, because the funny part was just if you have a good thumbnail you are able to generate thousand and even up to million views just with a few HR-Views

It depends on a few factors.
- The quality of your content
- How frequently you upload
Another thing to keep in mind is timezones. If most your subscribers are GMT+1, try to upload around 7-9pm their time, which is tough if you live in like GMT+5 .

What were the copyright problems that you had? I thought it fell under fair use?

The vines/videos i used in my compilation are from people who are part of a youtube network. A few day after i uploaded my video the automated Youtube content ID system flagged my video. I tried to dispute several times, but every time the youtube network (Fullscreen/Collab) claims that they have all rights for the content i use in my video. At the end the youtube network got all money for my videos. That's why i stopped making vine compilations ^^

It's not worth the effort making videos with content that you don't own, because at the end you will always lose against a network that claims they own the content that's being used in your videos.
 
Alot of people regularly watch a You Tube channel, but never really subscribe to it. I do that with a few channels like V Sauce and Sci Show, but as far as money goes subscribers don't really matter since its views/ad clicks that actually get you money. As far as getting 10k subs it can be hard or easy, it just really depends. If you already have alot of followers on twitter or Tumblr then you could post your videos there and get that 10k easy, or if you get lucky and a video goes viral then you can also easily get 10k subs.
 
I would focus less on the amount of subscribers and more on the quality of your videos.
Subscribers will come in due time, it's views that you want.

I believe he means high retention views.

As for copyright content. There are plenty of people on YouTube who upload sports highlights, full TV shows and movies and in pretty good quality too. I have no clue how they manage to pass the YouTube filters. There's obviously a loophole there somewhere.

Good tip. Just like to add that you can schedule the upload if you don't want to stay awake.
