How hard is it to get approved for 'standard' adwords api access?

I want to be able to analyze millions of keyword volumes without limits. It seems like the only way to do this is with standard adwords api access. Similar to what moz, semrush, ahrefs must have.

Has anyone here managed to get approved for that? (my application for basic access was denied)

Its free though, they just want to make sure you aren't going to use it in blackhat ways i think.
