The below link is definitive proof that Google checks ALL Gmail.
On this occasion it was put to good use with Google forwarding the details of a person having pictures of child abuse to the police.

However what this does expose is that any 'Black Hatter' stupid enough to use their Gmail service will at some point pay a price for their ill-advised loyalty...

Google been required from a GOV unit alias the police to disclose these infos of this particular account, it's not like Google has called police and said "heya whats up during our usual routine of checking 10000000bilion gmail accounts we found these child abused photos".

Anyway, even myself, just to be sure, never used Chrome/Gmail/Google analytics

EDIT: i read the article and it incredibly says Google has personally contacted National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC)

strange! as there may be hundreds of gmail accounts with mails regarding child abuse. Maybe it's all about REP menagement, so the buzz of today will say google cares bout childs.

Of course, you don't think Google is providing so much email storage space for nothing, do you?

They have certain gains they derive from being an email provider and they leverage it any way they choose.

I think the best way forward is buying a domain name for email only and setting up your email accounts in your cPanel.

Nothing beats Gmail though when it comes to email. They're simply the best.

I have tested myself also. They have bots. Send somebody email with text - health care.. you will see at top adverts related to health. Everything we send in Emails is Crawlable and they can read any time.

They don't even need bots to see what you're sending/receiving - they have it on their own servers.

As for the OP's post, surely, G has filters that alert them to things like this. It's the same with NSA and other security agencies - they can monitor anything by setting a keyword. This is also true for phone calls - agencies can identify and listen in on any phone call if a specific keyword is mentioned. See SIGINT (Signal Intelligence) if you want to know more.
