How Google can stop PBNs

Can this theory work assuming that Google has Resources to implement it?

Nope - not possible. But even if that happens, it will just drive the price of doing business for us a bit. Everyone will be farming PBN domains for 6 months before using them, and soon people will start selling farmed PBN domains instead of just PBN domains.

A lot of domains change hands for legit reasons, cutting that part out will do more harm than good for SEs.

You can't stop people from buying links. Money will exchange hands, links will be built one way or another, and sites will rank, it's just a matter of how expensive/hard/annoying that process will be.

Google could at any point stop Backlinks and PBNs. though what would be the point and would they go backwards in technology. furthermore, what would our moneysites or any sites be ranked based on? i dont think this would change too soon. though im only a newbie to the world of SEO and the website technology altogether.

But I would guess that are looking at how many outbound links a domain. Most pbns are nothing but 300-400 word posts with 3 outbound links. So a huge amount of outbound links compared to amount of content would be a much better indicator.
As to small private blog networks I cannot imagine them using any concerted effort to find them. Probably depen on your competitors to report them.

Please read the first post in detail. I am nowhere saying that they devalue domains, just devalue outbound links from a recreated domain. If a person buys a website to create an actual business does he care about if the sites he link to rank? Hell No (unless he is an SEO). He only cares that his site i.e. the recreated expired domain rank well, which Google can keep on allowing but devalue the outbound links so the site cannot be used for linkbuilding purpose.

Never saying Google will stop using backlinks as signal, just that for some limited time if it devalues the link juice of any recreated expired domain, then that PBN will be worthless until expiry of that time. But the PBN website can rank itself if its taken up by an actual business.

There are two factors involved here. The ranking authority i.e. how well a website can rank and link juice i.e. how much that authority a domain can pass. If a normal webmaster buys any expired domain, he is worried about only ranking authority and how well that site can rank, when an SEO buys a domain for PBN he is worried about linkjuice and how well it can rank other sites to which this site links to. What I am talking about here is Google keeping the Ranking Authority but devaluing the LinkJuice, so it will not harm the actual webmaster but kill the juice till the time it may deem fit and it can do it for all the recreated sites irrespective of whether the website is PBN or not.

Ranga. i get what you saying. though if the juice is devalued or ignored.... what would google your sites value or rank based on. where it ignores links what algorithm would they use to rank a site #1 #2 etc.. would it be content than? idk. all hypothetical ofcourse

It will rank based on its inbound links, only the outbound links are ignored.
 
This wouldnt touch my PBN. Mine is small, private, and consists of real sites that have never been dropped.
 
Digging out an old thread, but I think Google has implemented this, I am seeing PBN not giving out juice for couple of months after changing hands. Is anybody else seeing this?
