Directory submission? Its not bad I'd say.. But the main thing is, all the good directories will take some to put your link live.. Generally, its worth if you use right tools...

Some paid ones still worth and you sometimes get some good links for prices as low as like $15/year or so...

It is not worth, because most free dir don' show your link, because they are not really free
