How Fast Can You Rank A Site

Even medium competition (top sites pulling in 200-300/day) is pretty easy to do in a week...
The challenges, which take 6 months or more, are the keywords worth millions/yr
This isn't how you gauge competition.
I should just keep linking as much as I can with different kinds of links?
All my sites are old but I have never tried to rank them. Someone offered to do it for $90 per site but if its that easy I will try to do it myself. I have hundreds of sites to rank.

It's easy if you know what you're doing,AMR,NHS,will do little,I'd take scrapebox over those 2 (and I have themself) if you're starting to build links.
You want decent PR links,you can filter the PR in scrapebox.
Web 2.0's with great content,fact is if you biuld up using crap you're easily knocked down.
I'd use AMR,NHS for lower tiers,maybe.I haven't use AMR for a long time,I love how fast NHS gets a site indexed.
Numbers mean nothing ,find phpbuilts web 2.0 list and start building web 2.0's there is another link in that thread that shows you how do it properly.
What bothr me is you jumped on the "rank overnight" as if there is no work involved,not a good sign.
Build quality links I can imagine you blasting the daylights with AMR and letting NHS loose and getting nowhere,web 2.0's and buy scrapebox and use it properly,do not start ordering 20k scrapebox\xrumer blasts it's not how it's done.

I would be greatfuul if you explain how to rank for a keyword that is going to pull $5 a day in 3 months. Thanks.
So how do you judge competition. I sometimes use intitle:"keyword" but i really doubt there is bulletproof method.
I know it probably cant be done overnight but I think just knowing its not as hard as Im believing it is is Hope for me. I have so many sites and I am so overwhelmed.

Seach 6600, compt 100k, it took me 6 weeks to get in 1st page, for the 1st 4 weeks, i just optimized onpage, the 5th week started backlinking

There's never such a thing as "no work involved". However, if you pick your keywords right, you can simply rank with on-page SEO alone, thus the ranking overnight. If you need to build backlinks than you'll need more time to rank.

Flag the post with a few higher level Y!answers accounts and you can get it removed. One fewer competition.

It depends upon the competition. If you are facing low competition it might take 1-2 months, however sometime even if the competition is high, it takes years to get the desired results. Your strategies also play an important role in ranking your website. Do Slow link building for the first 2 month. Preferable Link Buidling in the starting point of time.
