How fast can you build links?

• I have a website that is around 6 months old.
• I've been building maybe around 30 links a month or so and now have over 200 (mix of nofollow and f)
• The links are a mix of guest posts, forum links, profiles and web 2.0 links from the market place (no PBN yet).

What I want to know is, do you think I could be building faster? How many links do you usually have at the 6 month stage?

My Moz rating says I have a DA of 25 fwiw

I have the same amount as you on a 3 months old domain, and I thought I was taking it slow. I think you can up your link velocity. Imagine if Ellen DeGeneres released a new website tomorrow, how many backlinks do you think she'd had within 24h?

The "You can't build any links the first month" / "build maximum 1 link a week" or whatever, is in my opinion, BS. I have never had any problems.

the speed is okay don't try to push backlink quantity.

200 backlinks / month is okay but are they coming from relevant websites? are you sure they are indexed.

Thanks guys, yes my website is education based. Most of my backlinks from the market here are .edu and my guest posts are all niche relevant. I'll try upping it a little thanks

I build 10 to 15 links a day, Most of the time nofo-llow-s and small amount of do-fo-llows. But you need to up your numbers.

You should look for quality not quantity. You can build as many as you like a day, 5, 12, 33, etc. But, one thing you should know is low-quality back links can affect your site negatively on search engines. Diversify your link campaign and you will succeed.

Ok, I think I will start aiming to get a more consistent flow of backlinks coming in from now on.
