How F**** Stupid Are the Adwords Team

So I got a notification over the weekend that my adwords account was suspended, so I went onto live chat and spoke to someone who did not really understand that much English.

I had a few issues, one was my site was hacked so quickly fixed that.

The next issue which is absolutely mind blowing to me is Google says a site I was running ads on 3 years ago and sold 3 years ago is now on a parked domain and that I need to fix that, although I deleted the campaign when I sold the site.

Obviously the new owner has let the domain drop and someone has parked it.

I said to the adwords team how can I fix that, I dont own that domain and have not owned it for years, they basically had no answer.

So today I call up adwords and the guy on the phone said theres not really much you can do if you no longer own the domain

You just cant use adwords anymore

WTF!!! This is the silliest policy I have EVER seen - They told me if you added a site to adwords you MUST always control its content, because I sold it and someone let it drop I have been suspended forever.

That is like selling a house and then a few years down the line still paying for the bills. Absolutely shocking policies by Google

So just a heads up if you are thinking about letting one of your sites expire that you have used on adwords in the past- THINK AGAIN

You will get suspended, as they are even checking deleted campaigns

As far as ads go, Facebook is gonna swallow Google alive.

FB is much better targetted, more transparent, much better implemented and a much better system than adwords will ever be.

Thanks for sharing your experience. That policy is absolutely ridiculous. Surely you can't be responsible for sites once they sell? And what happens to the new owner - are they banned from AdWords too? Shocking.

Ye it sucks big time.. I doubt the new owner is using adsense as the domain is parked

Thanks for letting us know, I actually have 2 sites I used Adwords on that I was going to drop this year. Thankfully I don't really use Adwords.

if your a legit business, they'll help you, but if you run shady blackhat types of schemes they'll knock you off your block.

My latest reply to them, lets see what they will say this time.. I just feel like I keep repeating myself

i don;t use Google ads, but I think it is adsense, not adwords. Adwords is when you buy ads

I wouldn't have any more written communication with that guy.

If he is that fucking stupid he can't read.

OMG this lady just called me and she can barely speak any English

They said I have to fix this.... I said HOW!! She said you need to contact the webmaster... I am like I DONT OWN THE FRIKKIN DOMAIN

They said there is nothing we can do then its adwords policy.. You need to buy the site back lol and fix it!!
