I am justaroofer and am wondering how do you do backlinks to your website? Do you use wordpress, squidoo, etc? What is the best back link site to use for local SEO? How much does content matter, dont you need good content to get views? I am justaroofer. So what is 2.0, links from H1, and links with anchors. I am justaroofer. LOCAL SEO

You should probably read a bit more before asking. Use the search on the left.

Tip: One of my roofer clients gets the bulk of his business from our reviews on homestars.com

Explain to me more. From a citation or paid leads?

Apparently everything I said to you in your other two threads has been completely ignored. Makes me kind of regret having put the effort out. Maybe someone else will benefit from it. Either that or you are being influenced by people that don't know a damn thing about Local SEO. You don't need backlinks, you need citations. And there's not much point in asking about anything else until you've actually put effort into DOING those citations. And another thing you should stop doing is opening up multiple threads, essentially asking for the same help. Eventually all the qualified people are going to learn to ignore you, and they will toss your carcass to the brainless piranhas that don't know anything.

So a Canadian Cat with Windshield Wipers!! Thats Awesome!! Thanks Man

Mr, Nigel I have been doing citations 3 per day. Please do not regret trying to help me Sir. I am just trying to figure out SEO. Please don't PENALIZE me man. Much RESPECT

You ask clients that you do work for to leave reviews for you on homestars.com. As you get more reviews, you will climb the homestars.com rankings in your city and roofing. Thus more business.

It seems that you may be ignoring advice others have given you. At this point I would say invest in your business and hire a professional, the additional leads you would gain are more then sufficient to justify the expense.

Hadoken homestars I am not familiar with. I have plenty of reviews to set up through great clients and am on my way to doing so with more familar sites like yp etc. How can homestars help and is it USA related?

From the way you talk Im sure you donnt know anything about IM or SEO

The best advice I can give is aleast get to know the basic of things so you dont end up getting scammed pr acting like a fool infront of others

Haha, that's like asking how do you install a roof! Read through the forums. Then read through SEO Moz's backlinking guide. Also check out www.Source-wave.com, awesome SEO video blog.

OK88 I am justaroofer and never claimed to know anything about SEO. I am on here to learn and am trying the best I can.

I would honestly google " how to make a backlink" along with what is a backlink and would bet you would find your answer.

Don't worry about backlinks until you have enough citations and reviews.
1. Open a google places account.
2. Go to Google and type in roofer or roofing, whatever your keywords are plus your city or town.
3. Examine the Google places results and open each one.
4. Get the phone number from each business and do an exact google search "01666777888" or whatever the phone number is.
5. Create a list of each domain it appears in. (ciiation sites)
6. Do the same for each of the other 9 results.
7. Go through the complete list and add your site to each one.

When thats done, then consider backlinking.

Yes i use squidoo, tumblr to create the back links other than that i use off page seo technique like blog comments, high PR directory submission, Press release as well as article submissions.

Local SEO don't need backlinks. Local SEO needs citations, reviews and everything that getting a good and active business profile.
