    Hello Fellow Blackhatters,

I hope everyone is well. A quick question for anyone botting twitter - How effective you do you find favoriting user's tweets to be? On instagram, liking pictures is a huge source of additional followers. I'm currently in the midst of starting my twitter journey and am currenly following around 700 users per day. However, I am favoriting zero posts. Does anyone have any advice on how many tweets are safe to favorite daily? I don't want to push the limit and end up with a ban.

I read through Wizard's journey thread and I did not see almost any mention about Favoriting so any help people could provide would be great!

    Thanks,
    King

    # of favorites is not even a concern. you dont get banned for that.
the problem is 80% of the tweets do not survive for long. it's just a waste if a tweet does not survive. you can favorite all you want and nobody is going to see it.

That's a good question. Actually i'm planning to get into liking for quite some time now, but i'm on the fence as you. Because of two reasons: i don't know how effective it is and i don't know the limits either. If it's not effective, it would be pretty stupid to get banned or flagged for it lol
As for now, i just follow and tweet, with following i already go a bit overboard, so if i mix liking into the pic, it can be, that it will be too much.

@txholdem: What do you mean by that a tweet don't survive for long? Do you mean that it's not seen by as many as before, because Twitter has changed the chronological timeline? But i guess, the like still will be seen by the tweet owner, so practically the usefulness of a like can be similar to the usefulness of a follow.
Those people who don't care about their own tweets and don't check if someone liked them or not, those are mostly like you and me, marketers or bots, so we don't really need to be noticed by those anyway.

I haven't seen any advantages so far with liking. I'm about to give up on twitter though because instagram is where it's at now. Twitter is overun with spam bots.

    This.

And for me, favoriting doesn't mean shit. Chances of people responding back to a favorite is very slim.

    Favoriting is awesome for retargeting.

Let's say you have a lead or customer. They purchased from you once.

Then after 1 month you favorite their tweet and they will remember you + the awesome experience they had. Then they will check out your site again --> Profit!

On Instagram liking pictures is essential. I'm currently in the process of unfollowing on all my accounts and am still gaining followers through liking their pictures.

I would have to imagine its the same case on twitter. Someone with say 50 followers posts a tweet. You like their post. When they get that notification they'll check out your page to see what your account is all about and why it liked their post. If you have a strong account, that could result in a follow from them which is the end goal anyways.

    yes, favorites will help.
no, it will not get you banned.

HOWEVER, tweets have their 'longevity', from 0 sec to perhaps forever. if it's 0s, it's ghosted. some can last 10m, 5hr , days or months. i would say 50%+ of them dont last over 5 min (practically ghosted).

of course the tweets exist and the poster can see them. the point is that other people can see your tweets.
i just started to play with twitter a month ago, so i dont know about their change of timeline or whatnot.

what i dont understand is: 'featured' tweets only show up ever so often. most of the time they dont seem to exist. if there is no 'featured' tweets, then i suspect favorites wont help.

I find liking not useful for gaining new followers but reminding people you exist. They will then turn and interact with you- if you are follow and then unfollowing, often liking three of there posts is enough to get them to follow you if simply following wasn't enough. Big scheme? I don't think its super worth it if you are boting, the time involved I doubt matters if you manage a few accounts. If you are raising a single account, I think it is good to encourage interactions with your followers-> helps you convert -> helps 14 year olds and very very forward men to feel comfortable hitting on you.

Thanks guys for all the help. Instead of starting a new thread, I have one more question to ask:

Is it safe to have the same instagram link in every post for a single account? Say I have the instagram account "football" and create the twitter account "football". My plan for posting is to upload 5 pictures a day from the "Football" instagram account to the "Football" Twitter account. The link that I'll be posting in each twitter post is to the general instagram profile NOT to the direct instagram post. As a result, the link will be the exact same for all 5 instagram posts. Is this safe on twitter? Right now I've built a post list of about 600 photos and this was how I was planning to provide posts for twitter.

    Thanks,
    King

If this doesn't work, I just wasted 5 hours writing and uploading CSV files... Anyone know?

    Hello,

As per my view, in present time, Instagram is more effective than Twitter and I think only liking is not much effective for increasing followers.. You have to interact with the people and also manage your account effectively..
