Well I can easily find high pr forums (I'm sure u can too :D)

Well I was wondering how effective are profile backlinks (High PR forums)?

(I know it's a wrong section maybe but It was closet to my quesiton)

I use them as an overal strategy and always add a few thousand to buffer sites etc.

I like edu forum profiles as a boost to newer sites ( trust )

xrumer beats everything on the market for this.

They are very effective if you know the right spots on the overall link structure to put them on.

You can use them to directly link to your site as well, but there is risk involved depending on your site stats like age and trust.

They have their place in a SEO strategy, just don't rely solely on them. It is best to have some editorial links too from related sites with high PR and also build links from forum signatures.

they are always useful

the answer is actually simpel... high pr forum profile backlinks are very usefull.... you probably won't even need a lot of them for low competition key words...

Yeah, you don't need a LOT for low end keywords and they do help.

I find them useful many times, but it's a hell of a work indexing them.

They are only useful (like any link) if they are indexed. You need to use a service/tool/method to ensure that they get indexed and therefore counted by Google.

Well I got scrapebox to ping them :D

I believe that profile backlink is the most useful backlink

pinging could help, but if you log in and have your profile link presented to search engines you might get indexed faster...
