How effective are link wheels with high competitive keywords?

I have just started building some link wheels for some low competitive keywords. I was just woundering if it makes sense to start build link wheels for high competitive niches (credit reports, adult, gambling). Would it make sense to spend some time to do or is there no chance to make it to the top of Google? Or if yes how long would you think does it take?

would be very hard to rank....most of those niches are dominated by SEO experts..I wouldn't waste my time on them if I was you

dont play in ( 1 word )
select long tail keyword in huge niches to take piece of cake

#1 to get them effective enough it would be instant ban
#2 linkwheels are a HUGE footprint, avoid them like the plague

Most likely means it is easy for Google or anyone to see that you have linked a certain number of sites and all pointed them to your domain.

you wont rank with a linkwheel for competive keys.

Stay away from this terms. Its mostly not worth the hassle. (if you have a keyword domain then it could be ok though)
