Hi there I wonder if any of you could tell me how much work/cost it would be to get this site to the top of google for a local search.
the site is doo-das .Sorry cant post a real link
Its basically a hairdressers in Canterbury kent UK. They are well known locally but they dont rank very well for keywords that they would like.
The Would like to rank for -
Hairdressers in Canterbury - Most important to them
Hairdressers in Maidstone - 2nd most important
Hairdressers in Kent - 3rd most important
***********************************
2nd they want to rank high for is
Beauty/Beautician in Canterbury - Most important to them
Beauty/Beautician in Maidstone - 2nd most important
Beauty/Beautician in Kent - 3rd most important

The salon is pretty well know but quite expensive and they have been around for 20+ years. They advertise on radio and local newspapers ect so they do like to get their name out their but they would like to rank higher (1st) for the above key phrases.
Has anyone got any idea how much work/cost for the above ? Any Ideas of decent reputable seo companies that could achieve this ?

All of those keywords are VERY easy to rank for. In fact, their site doo-das is already ranked 5 for the keyword that they said is most important.

That would be very easy to rank for those keywords. Minimal SEO work. Start with articles, blog posts social, and then perhaps some videos.

Yes I am aware that they already rank 5th but they want to rank 1st. I don't think they have had and SEO work done on/off site. They are willing to pay a bit for quality results. I dont want to do it as 1. Its all new to me and 2. I would rather someone who knows what they are doing do this for them and at least I can see results and possibly a report on how its been achieved.

Did you put up the site ? if so good job... Without looking at keyword tools I would imagine all of those terms are rankable. They currently only have 10 backlinks going to the site. So I would start with a bit of linking and to be honest the site is good...they are obviously a pro operation so will have a bit of budget but I would start with a variety of links

They dont' rank 5th. Technically they rank 8th due to the 3-pack at the top. Best thing for them to do is work on the local seo a bit to get into the 3-pack. Put in microformat tagging, build citations, etc and you should be good.

need good google placement
competition : easy
estimate : 3 month (99,9% gurantee)
cost: 1k /month

You can start with getting on-site SEO done first and hopefully you would see some results soon. After that you can move onto off-site SEO part.

LOL, that is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. Thanks for the laugh.
